Flower Friday: The Iris Edition

Quite a few years back, my sister and I took a trip to an Iris Farm that is located not too far from my house.  I was seriously blown away at how many different varieties of irises there were!!

I leave you with several of the photos I took that day...in honor of Bailey and Dory.

Things have been so busy around here with getting our new little furry family members situated and used to our schedules!  It is a work in progress.  I have not been around to visit much and I apologize for that.  We also had one of our best friends pass away unexpectedly this week.  Life is just too short.   Enjoy every single moment.

Wow! Many of our irises look like the ones in your pictures. We got a few of them from a local guy who had rows of them in his yard. He advertised in the Pennysaver. I wonder if this is the same guy?

We love irises! Some of the ones in your photos look like ones we have in our garden. We got them from a local guy who had them in rows in his yard, probably 20 years ago. I wonder it it's the same grower?

  19. I think they are difficult to grow in some climates. We just happen to live in NY where they are pretty easy to grow. Believe me!! I cannot grow ANYTHING and they just happen to grow in my garden! BOL!
