Mama took us out for a walk today to check on the armyworms...to see if we could see any new ones arriving...so far so GOOD!
But. The lawn is DEAD. Really DEAD. As in. Not growing. Totally BROWN. I guess the good news is that Daddy doesn't have to cut the grass...
We had a couple of sprinkles of rain today...but that's all. We had a tiny little rainbow...can you see it??
As long as I was out helping Mama...stopped to grab some grass...I DO like salad you know!!

Thanks for showing us your walk. It's sad that you have dead scorched grass and we have waterlogged muddy grass from all our rain. Maybe if we get exactly half way between us it would be perfect.... wait, though. That would be the ocean I think.

Oh, army worms. One year they took out 20 acres of fescue on our farm in just 3 days. They are seriously evil!

We too have gotten some rain here. Yesterday it rained quite a bit, but today seems rainy and then sunny.

We are so glad that the army has stayed away. Too bad about the lawn, but with the heat this summer, it was probably a good year to lose it. We are spending tons on water to keep ours going.

We like grass too but ours grows inside. We're sorry the summer has turned your grass brown but it still looks like fun to run around in it!
