there was more time....just a couple more weeks built in to this time between Thanksgiving and Christmas. Does anyone else feel like they are at the starting gate and somebody just said, "GO!"??
There is shopping to do, cookies to be baked, parties to be attended, presents to be wrapped, decorating to be done, cards to be addressed and mailed...
I could use an assistant! Let's face it...couldn't most of us?? I took a few minutes yesterday to look through our recent photos (before the snowstorm!)...it is absolutely amazing how fast the seasons go by. Doesn't it kind of seem like we just put all of last year's Christmas decorations away??
And then...on December 26th, we will be looking at each other ... going ... "It's over already??"
I think I am feeling a bit more pressure this year because I know that I have a week's worth of oral surgery to go through and I know that is going to make a huge dent in my ability to accomplish everything I want to get done!!
So let's all try to slow it down and try to enjoy the next four weeks...

a couple years ago I gave up on trying to get it all done. I slowed down, cut back and started enjoying the season a whole lot more

I am trying to dial it back....and enjoy the season by getting things done earlier in the year (cards, crafting) and doing the things I enjoy (decorating and baking) as the season begins!
