There are times when you just have to let it all out. Frankly, I was upset a couple of months ago when Amazon Associates decided to drop all of their New York Affiliates...due to the latest tax laws.
I love Amazon and will continue to shop with them. I was NOT happy that my commissions were cut off.
The letter I received back from them actually stated that this does not affect my RELATIONSHIP with BlogPaws...I can certainly continue to be affiliated with them...I just won't get PAID. Lovely.
I have worked hard for the past seven years to get my blog to where it is today.
It appears as though I have been laid off...so to speak.
I really, REALLY hope that the rest of the companies that I am affiliated with decide to stick it out!! A similar thing happened to the Affiliates out in California a couple of years ago and I believe they have finally straightened it all out and those peeps are back on the payroll.
Getting commissions cut off just prior to Christmas. Not cool.
Can you tell I am a little upset??
Well that's kind of BlogPaws to let you continue to be affiliated with them for free. That has to be very discouraging. Just another way of Uncle Sam finding ways to pad his pockets while emptying ours
ReplyDeleteSorry to read that. Not nice this time of year for sure. We hope everyone else sticks it out.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes Molly
Whoa...that sucks! What kind of stupid law did they pass!! You just need to get out on the road like us. Then you can get "residency" in South Dakota. No state taxes, easy drivers license and vehicle registration. And no "stuff" LOL
ReplyDeleteOh Jeanne! There is just SOOO MUCH that's wrong in New York and other places! We'll all have just One More chance to reverse all this maddness in November 2014! Vote the Liberals OUT of the Senate and Congress!
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry sweet friend!
hughugs
Sorry to hear that's happening to NY residents although we don't know what laws they are referring to. Hope things get straightened out so you can get back on the payroll!
ReplyDeletePolitics! Grrrrr!

Hi Y'all!
ReplyDeleteSounds like the local governments have taken a page out of the Federal government's book and fail to stop to consider the hardships and unintended consequences of their actions, especially when it comes to taxation. My Human, in your situation, would be rabid!!! Yes like a wild animal!!!
Y'all come by now,
Hawk aka BrownDog
That's not good news just before Christmas :( Not sure about tax laws and stuff in the US but it doesn't sound good. Sending hugs your way x
