All three of my pups are still recuperating from their Spa Day...don't they look relaxed? :)
Thirteen of My Favorite Places To Vacation:
2.Key West, FL
3.South Padre Island, Texas
4.Cloudcroft, New Mexico
5.Santa Fe, New Mexico
6.Taos, NM
7.Amelia Island, FL // Fernandina Beach, FL
8.San Antonio, TX
9.Biloxi, MS
10.Toronto, Canada
11.El Paso, TX
12.Surfside Beach, SC
13.Clearwater, FL
You will notice that the majority of my favorites are within the U.S. borders. In today's world, I just don't have the same desire to venture too far away from our own country. There was a time when I enjoyed Nassau in the Bahamas and Cozumel, Mexico. But, not anymore...I am just not comfortable there.
I feel differently about Bermuda though...I feel pretty safe there, but one must always remember that when venturing out of the U.S., different laws pertain! One must rely heavily on the U.S. Embassy abroad...does the name Amanda Knox ring a bell? I still really believe that she was innocent and framed. I cannot even imagine being in a foreign country where they speak a language I am not totally fluent in...and then being interrogated for hours on end. Talk about frightening!!
Ohhhh Spa day did you get a mani-pedi too? You all look quite fluffy and I know you smell yummy.
ReplyDeleteI've been 1, 10 and 13 of your favorite places. I was on the way home from a work conference in Budapest on 9/7/01. What a beautiful and friendly city. It was my last time out of the USA. Prior to 9/11 we to several countries. We'd still love to see the British Isles.
Two of my absolute favorite places on earth and best vacation every was 2005 11 days in Alaska. It was #2 on my bucket list...# one being see Elvis in person which I did. 2nd favorite vacation was 2017 trip to Colorado and Utah. Yep this grand country has so much to see.
Hugs madi and mom
we are with you... we rather stay inside of the country now...although that is also no longer the same ... sigh
ReplyDeleteA day of groomies tires me out too. Rest up! Sadly, mom has never been to any of those places.
ReplyDeletePierre needs to be groomed. You need to travel back down to Texas and see us! I have no desire to leave the USA either. There is so much to see here and I cringe at the thought of trouble on foreign soil.
ReplyDeleteI never ventured very far away from home. I don't think I've even been in more than a handful of states.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pups all tuckered out.
ReplyDeleteMom has been to a couple of those places, and like you, she prefers to stay within the U. S. these days.
Woos - Lightning, Misty, and Timber
I have only been to 2 of those places.
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet photo!
ReplyDeleteI love your list, and I agree with you about traveling out of the country. But I would so love to see the sunflower fields in the south of France.
Oh, Ma KNOWS she was framed! she feels the same way abouts most foreign countries, butts Britain would be in my top ten, especially Ireland! Since Ma doesn't travel that much, she mostly sticks to the West, cause humidity kills her!!! She once spent the summer in TX and OK, and almost died!! she's a 'dry heat' kind of gal ☺
