Well, yesterday I mentioned I was really looking forward to going to the parade today. It was alot of fun! Reminded me of my mom. My mom loved parades. In some way, I felt she was there with me today. It was the first one I've been to since she passed away on 9/11. It's always fun to see all the little kids waiting for the candy being thrown off the floats, the old guys singing at the TOP of their lungs, the little old ladies tappin' their feet and clapping to the bands. Just good old fashioned fun. But. Parking was a problem. We had to walk like a mile and a half. Not good. In this heat I thought I would die. I waited on a bench while my husband went and got the car to go home. Craft shopping is always something I enjoy...a few of my purchases are shown above. Oh yeah. The STUPID people that brought their dogs. Now...you could probably fry an egg on the pavement. I did not see ANY PEOPLE walking barefoot on this hot pavement. Yet....there are the stupid people walking their dogs with their tongues hanging out of their mouths. Poor dogs. Especially BICHONS. Two bichons to be exact. I am fond of all dogs mind you. But, if I see a bichon within shouting distance...I'm there. Saying hello to the bichon. To hell with the owner. No seriously. Most of the time I talk to the owner too. One of the owners was a total bitch. The other girl was really very nice, but I so wanted to shout at her "DON't you think it's a BIT HOT for him today???????" But I didn't. I did ask her if she had brought water for poor little Bennie. I hope he made it home ok today. Chloe was home in her air conditioned cottage napping.

What was the parade for? Glad you had fun even in the heat.
I can't relate to the craft buying. My wife can though.
Sometimes people don't consider the little ones. I know our girls walk on the hot pavement, but they don't take George for a walk until evening because it is too hot. Glad you had good weather, sound like it went from one extreme to the other from yesterday. Contrary to what Sirdar says, I don't buy that many crafts, I used to by supplies, to make crafts, but don't have time, and still have supplies stored for when I do have time and space.
