Downside of Cottage Life

Ah yes....the downside of cottage life would be ....visitors.... constant visitors. I guess I just don't handle it as well as some people. I am freakin' exhausted and it is only July!! Lots more to come....SEND me some STRENGTH!! I would REALLY like to be doing what Chloe is doing here...

As much as one loves visitors, I know exactly what you mean it is very tiring. It obviously exhausts Chloe as well!

We use to have a tourist resort...can you imagine that?!

Still - I can't remember a summer where I got to do nothing. My brother is still in the tourist business and I help him out every summer...so it's always people people people...smiling smiling smiling...dishes dishes dishes....

I does seem you have been very busy this summer! I'm just glad you at least pop in occasionally and say boo. :)

I know exactly what you mean about constant visitors. I'm SO looking forward to school starting again so I'll have some alone time.

is there no way to draw a line in the sand and claim some time for yourself? certainly folks would understand if you level with them...

Ah yes....let's see....we NEVER see so and so UNTIL we are at the cottage! Argh!!!! Goodness, if you get too overrun by folks, you are going to get sick! Take it easy, and even if you have to tell people you are getting too strung out, so be it...It isn't worth it to wear yourself down.

Now, go chillax with Chloe! She is looking soooooo relaxed! Such a CUTE photo!!!!

Ha, I love that Chloe - and I think she's got the right idea.

Cottage? Wow, that sounds so LOVELY.

Oh the life of Chole. Wouldn't we all like to be doing what she's doing in that picture. I love summer!

I envy Chloe's ability to relax.

Dogs seem to have it good when it comes to resting when they want. We have friends with a cabin and they spend a lot of time getting it ready so last weekend was the first time they had guests. They have a different situation though, there only on weekends and their guests come for an afternoon. It seems to defeat the purpose if you are getting away and getting more exhausted doing it. Good luck with the rest of the summer.
