Movie Night Resumes...

As some of you know, my sister and I "do" Movie Night each week...it is our way of catching up. We have a little theater here in our town that plays all the new releases, so we are going to go check out, "Nights in Rodanthe"

Coming back to the house from being gone for four months, there's alot to do. I am feeling somewhat overwhelmed. This is not a new feeling for me. In fact, it happens the same way each and every year. For some reason, this year I'm feeling much more overwhelmed than usual. So, I'm taking a time-out to go to the movies and hopefully that will "refresh" me....at least get me going in the right direction!!

I've also decided to go on my own personal crusade to avoid the news. I mean, not totally....I'll skim headlines online. But, I am not going to watch the local news. I am not going to watch the ABC Evening News. As much as I love Charlie Gibson. I have decided at this particular time in my life, it is WAY too depressing to watch that freakin' stuff night after night after night. I need some HAPPY stuff to happen. Usually I am like a freakin' maniac decorating my house up for fall.

Not this year.

I just don't have my groove on. Haven't even taken the box of Halloween / Fall stuff out of the basement. I. Just. Don't. Feel. Like. It.

And...

I am really, really hoping that a night out of girltalk and movies will cure me!!

I hope the movie helps. It is wonderful you do something on a regular basis with your sister. My mom stopped listening to the news at night when she was around your age; it was too depressing to take to bed. I tend not to watch or listen to the news late in the day; I read the paper in the morning and listen to the news in the morning. By the end of the day, it has been filtered through my daily experiences of 'love and sunshine' and I don't think about it as I go to sleep. It may be different when I get a little older. Perhaps you need a break from decorating and in another month it will be start of winter and Christmas decorating so you might as well get some cleaning done and get those things out. Sometimes a change and a break is all weed need. Speaking of changes, I like you new look on you blog. Enjoy you movie.

Love the new look!! I totally understand what you mean. I skim the headlines too, but don't read anything that doesn't strike my fancy. The evening and late night news do not know my house...they are never on. It is depressing, its scary for me since my hubby is military, and I get really frustrated with the reporting and the reporters. 'nuff about that! Have a wonderful night and please review the movie...I want to see it too but don't know if its worth the ticket money.

sounds like a night out is certainly in order! though, it sound like margaritas might be a better choice over a movie. ;)

i hope you find your mojo and have a great time. snap out of it! :)

So many people are feeling the blues. Hope the movie helps and the girl talk with your sister helps too. We'll have to make a date on facebook one day. Have coffee and chat and forget about the ugliness of the world :o)
