Mmmmmmmmm! These taters sound GOOD! When I was little, my mother always made the sweet potatoes/yams with sticky syrup and marshmallows on top. I could never get used to them, because they were the texture of potatoes. But sweet. She left them in chunks and they just seemed weird. Your recipe sounds terrific!

I've tried and tried to like sweet potatoes but the only way I'll eat them is baked into a pie. My MIL makes them like you do but she also puts marshmallows on top before she puts them into the oven.

I always manage to muck up the sweet potatoes, so I might need to try these.

yumm that does sound good. My dish to bring to the feast has always been sweet potato casserole - maybe i'll switch the recipe up this year.

Those do sound good. I have only made them mashed with a little nutmeg and butter and never done one of the fancy sweet recipes. I always have good intentions, buy them, then think, "Ahhh...they have been in the cupboard for a month, I better have them with supper", and end up just mashing and adding butter and a little nutmeg. I love them that way too, so it isn't such a push to try something new. My kids might like them more like this.
