Retail Therapy

Well....let's see...today was a Retail Therapy day for me! Actually talked Ben into going to Hobby Lobby! I had seen a few things there last week when Meish and I went to check out some new candles. They were having a 30% off sale on all of their summery type things. I saw some cool lanterns that would look great on the awning of the RV. So, of course, I had to have Ben come look at them to see if he concurred. He did! So, we picked up a couple of them. And of course, I couldn't leave without browsing the scrapbook aisles. Picked up some St. Patrick's Day paper and embellishments and I just love those Gelly Roll Glaze Pens. So, picked up a new pack of those for our trip. Since, I will probably have to be observing "quiet time" at the RV parks, I'll have to have something creative to do besides surfing the net!! So, I'm packing myself a bag of creative activity "stuff".

I'll have to take a picture of that once I get it all together. A very limited amount of space is available to me on this trip!!

Since Ben has retired, he has been spending much more time on his hobby ... woodworking. I don't have my camera right here, right now, so will have to post a picture on another post, but he made me a very cool candleholder using "purple heart" wood and a few other kinds...which I can't think of the name of right now! So, we picked out a really nice candle to go with that.

All in all, it was a terrific Retail Therapy day. Now, this is my opinion...not his!

How exciting to be planning for your trip! I used to tell Mark I wanted to sell the house and buy a fifth wheel. He, of course, told me I was NUTS! I love, love, ADORE small spaces. Less work, less cleaning, and less JUNK. Did I mention I hate taking care of "stuff"? I love your card-making...that is so creative and something useful! You are going to have sooooo much fun!

Mark loves woodworking, too! That candleholder sounds gorgeous! I have seen that purple wood before, and it is so intriquing. I enjoy candles so much...they seem to give off such a warmth and peaceful feeling.....

Everyone needs a retail therapy day now and then. I think I'm overdue. :)

I want to see the lanterns too when you're snapping with your camera. How long before you depart on your great adventure?
