Indian Summer!!

Don't you think that weather has some impact on mood? I know that studies have shown that....but there's just something about a glorious SUNSHINE packed, WARM day...relatively speaking...in November. Especially in New York!

My daughter and I spent our usual Monday together and what a great day we had! Did some Christmas shopping...then stopped for a Mexican dinner....and dropped by PetSmart for the pooches! Went back to her house and hung out and watched our favorite shows.

Just a perfect day all around!

I absolutely believe that Indian Summer has an affect on MY outlook on life!!

Sure hope it continues for a little while longer...

Since picking up the camera, I have
had little time for retail
therapy... way behind in my
Christmas shopping.

Haven't seen much change in weather here.. an Indian Summer's
day would ne nice.

I hear you - my mood is totally weather-dependent! Enjoy that beautiful Indian Summer day.

There most certainly is a connection, and it's SAD.

Is it still considered Indian Summer after you've already had two snowstorms? That's what we're experiencing here. It was almost to the 80s last week and this week it's close to the 70s.

I enjoyed the weather by wearing shorts and taking Chloe for a bike ride! Glad to hear you had a lovely day with your daughter. Days like that were made for mother and daughter get togethers!

Seasonal Affective Disorder. SAD. I did not JUST move out of Ohio. I RAN out of Ohio. Lack of sun, dreary winters and the cold made feel like I was dying. Maybe if you were born in a sunny warm climate like I was, I never stood a chance at adapting to Ohio... Just the same I rather be here in VA where the sun is out and the temps are kinder.

Yes! I was dreaming of more warmer days and got my wish and I'm ecstatic and I think more prepared for the cold days ahead because of it. :)

Well, yeah, the weather really does lift one's spirits, I think. Itis hard to be grumpy and in a foul mood when the sun is shining and inviting one to come out and play. Particularly in NOVEMBER!!!!!

Oh, absolutely. The weather has quite an impact on my mood! I am much more likely to feel happy and chatty and upbeat if it's sunny :-)

I've always had issues with SAD. That said, I've also learned that if I don't stay inside, but get out despite the cold/rain, it helps a lot. Or did in SF, which has a high SAD rate. If it doesn't help here, I'm packing up and heading for Mexico!
