My Cottage Garden

Based on the amount of rain we have had (NONE)...I'm surprised anything is still growing in the garden right now!!

My dahlias are favorites!!  Fortunately they have been pretty hardy.

After yesterday's excitement of the CATERPILLAR wiggling all around and freaking Chloe out...we looked and looked and can't find where he went!

No critters around today.

At least that we could see!!

It is almost time for the fox to start coming around...

He usually would come out in September when most of the summer folks head home for the season.

For those of us who stay through October...we are lucky enough to see all kinds of wild life in our yards!!

More deer than one usually sees in a lifetime graze right out on the front lawn!  Along with a few miscellaneous chipmunks, squirrels, foxes, woodchucks, skunks...

The girlz are NOT allowed much freedom AT ALL!  They must be ON TOP of the Table!!  They are never allowed to be out without one of us.

Happy Tuesday!!

It's starting to feel like fall here already. Any day now, I expect to see the leaves start changing.

Beautiful flowers! Sounds nice - we live in the same kind of area have a fox that hangs out here too, tho haven't seen in a bit. :(

Your dahlias are beautiful!! Mine did not come up this year so I'll have to buy new bulbs next Spring.

All those critters to photograph.

It's not feeling like fall here at all! It's more like the middle of summer. Which is okay. (Except for when the evil animal control trolls close our pond at the park...)

I love dahlias! When I used to paint in watercolor they were my favorite flowers to paint. They are also my favorite flowers to photograph. All those colors to choose from!
Hugs,
Holly

Interesting, as we have had more rainfall here this August than usual. Mark commented on that the other day.

Your flowers are fantastic! I keep looking forward to planting more around our house, but we need to decide on an exterior for our wooden basement. (yeah, we have "only" lived here for nearly EIGHTEEN years. hahahaha)

Beautiful colors! It's amazing isn't it that so much is still flourishing with things as dry as they've been. ~j
