As we were sitting out in the yard at the cottage enjoying the sunshine, Ben remarked that it looked like there was something sitting on the side of the house....ok....let's go take a look!
Seriously????
A freakin' BAT??? In the DAY time?? Bright Sunshine....broad daylight! There's a BAT just hangin' out there. I had to go in and grab the camera and ZOOM in on him, just to make sure that the thing was alive. (and ok??) We often see bats zooming around at night...way up high in the trees...they have never bothered us. People tell me that they eat insects, so they aren't all THAT bad!! As long as they don't zoom in on me...I'm fine with it...but I definitely wouldn't want the little guy in my house!!
So, here's a few shots of my "BAT Buddy"!!
He moved from the side of the house...near the attic vent...over to the outside of my kitchen screen...but later in the evening he took off...presumably to grab a bite to eat! Ha!

we used to have bats in an old garage we rented, they came in and out through the tattered roof
I didn't mind them there but I hated the swooping
great shots
Bats hang around all day and then
go out from dusk til dawn eating
an enormous amount of insects..
One would be okay, I just hope you
don't inherit a colony... the smell
is horrendous...
You can get a little BAT house and
set it on a pole in your yard .
everyone likes to hang at your place!

Eckkkk! We sometimes get bats on our back patio! It's the only time I ever hear my hubby scream like a little girl!
