Art in the Park
There was absolutely NO way I was taking the girlz to the Art in the Park today! The Heat Index was in the triple digits. Honestly, I could not believe I saw dogs there....and they looked miserable! It should be against the law for them to be out in that kind of heat with no fans or water!! Or even shade for that matter.
Ok...off my soapbox...it just makes me angry that some people do not THINK!
The girlz did alot of this today:

You are so right. We only get to go out long enough to take care of business. We don't want to be out in that heat anyway. A small pug died in our area from overexposure to the heat. They say it can take only 5 minutes for the heat to get to the dogs with those squashed snooters. Poor little girl Petunia didn't have a chance.
Hoping for cooler temps soon.

You would think there would be some sort of official walking around to check this stuff out!

I don't blame you! I agree with you when I see people with their furbabies out in this hot weather. We've been staying close to home and not going much of anywhere these days with the heat and humidity.
The girls are doing the same thing I am - sleeping! Check me out at www.steweyunscene.com

NO, not a place for dogs in this horrible heat. And even for humans without proper cooling stuff like cold water, etc. Would have been nice if they had water sprays. Glad you held up and kept your girlz home!
How about when you see them sitting in a freak'n parked car!....
I agree wit da no tinking part. Us pups can't do it all by ourselves. Me did da same ting as da girls today!....snooze.
My biggest pet peeve is people who leave their dogs in the car on a hot day. I have notes that I've typed up on the computer which I put on anyone's car whom a dog is suffering in. First of course I go in every store and try to find the person. I have been known to call the ASPCA as well. Often people do it thinking they are being nice to take their dogs with them. Even with the window cracked a dog can die or get brain damage within 5 minutes. Arghhhhhhhhh! Your pups look cool and happy right where they are at home. Now that's true puppy love. By the way - those quilts are gorgeous! blessings, tia
I was going to ask if the girls went, lol. You are a smart doggy mommy, I get ticked when I see people leave them in cars when it's 80 outside!
I love those quilts!!!
