The Accident

Oh boy....Charlie was in a bit of trouble because he and his parents came to visit us and our barking kind of scared him.  He took off running for the ROAD!  Charlie's dad went running after him and slipped and fell really BAD.  He had to go immediately to the hospital and he broke his collar bone....like in HALF!!!

Sue basically just threw Charlie into mama's arms and took off for the hospital.  So...here are some pics of our evening with our buddy...we were trying to keep him calm because he was VERY worried about his dad.

At first he was really freaking out kinda scared as he has never been left at our house by himself before.  But, mama went out to the car and got his blanket and he settled in nicely to have some dinner and share some bones with us!

We feel bad that Benj is going to be hurting for a LONG time as it'll be about three MONTHS before he gets better.  But, he is home and we are glad that he is taking it easy.

PS...Charlie is very happy that his dad is going to be spending some time at home with him...he is currently sucking up napping on his lap.

Charlie was left in good company.

Sorry to hear about the trip to the hospital.. that is never fun and especially not before a holiday.

Sweet of the girls to share treats...
they should get a little something extra in their stockings for being so
good.!!

Oh My. That is very scary. Both of them could have been hurt very badly if a car had come by.

We are so sorry that Charlie's human broke his bones. But really glad that it will get better.

Poor Charlie probably needs lots of extra lap time for this adventure.

oh boy... that's a really bad accident. Hope he's resting nicely. I always fear for open doors and our dogs darting out to the road too even though we have a fenced in yard.

It will be painful but hopefully with Charlie's care, Benj will be better soon. Get well soon!

Oh poor Charlie's daddy! I hope he is starting to feel better. I've been reading a lot on blogs how people have been falling down and getting hurt. It's awful. Poor little Charlie, he meant no harm. I'm glad you all worked to make him feel better.
