Yikes! That Wasn't Supposed to Happen

Ok, so most of you know that my daughter is a hairstylist.  She specializes in color!  It is difficult for us to coordinate our schedules as she works constantly!!  So, when she was coming over for her birthday, we decided to throw in a quick cut and color!

Rather than have her bring all the supplies, I volunteered that I had what we needed!!  So, after the birthday celebration...off we go upstairs to do the quick hair thing.  Now...I had not used these particular products in awhile...no problem!  Or so I thought.

Check THIS out!

Are you freaking kidding me?????  Let me explain...Meish was in a hurry so when she was done, I said goodbye and I'd dry my hair after she left.

Said hair was dry after she left and I was TOTALLY freaking out!  C'mon...I do NOT look good in this color!  I know that there really are some humans who like to have orange hair.  I am not one of them.  I looked like a really bad Lucille Ball imitation!!

Ok, so now it is late...after midnight and I am trying to figure out what to do as I know that Meish has a full client day.  I also didn't want her to think that SHE did something wrong.  As I actually figured out that the developer that I thought was new...was NOT!!  So...apparently OLD developer does not mix well with color...weird reaction!!

I texted her on Saturday in the afternoon and she told me to come right over after her last client.

She FIXED it!!!

I am over the moon happy!!!  SO happy!!!  Nothing like having my very own hair back!!

No...those pictures up there were not my ACTUAL hair.  I refuse to post those on my blog.

The girlz were not amused by this turn of events.  Chloe was in her crate when I got home as she pooped in the living room to show her dad that she wasn't happy that mama left AGAIN!!

Hi Y'all,

Oh my, my...my Human admitted that when she was in college she went to get her hair professionally done for a dance...and ended up with bright orange hair.

When her parents came to retrieve her for summer break they didn't recognize her! She spent the summer going twice a week to the hair dresser for hot oil treatments and had her hair cut short...like about an inch long all over.

Never again has anyone colored her hair. Guess in the olden days there was no "fix" for a big "oops".

Y'all come by now,
Hawk aka BrownDog

Good thing you were Lucille Ball for only a short while! Glad it's all fixed! Poor Chloe! It's too bad she's still getting upset when her mama leaves!

Can you believe (and I'm telling you the truth) that a customer once asked me to actually color her hair THAT color? I kid you not. It took me FIVES hours to bleach her hair light enough, so that the orange would be that BRIGHT.

So glad to hear your daughter was able to correct it - whew!

And OMG, this made me laugh...

"I looked like a really bad Lucille Ball imitation!!"

At least you had a good sense of humor about it.

Hope you had a great Sunday, dear lady!

I love red hair. No I mean LOVE. It is the rest of the world that has issues coping with it. I almost married a ginger. Problem was... I was only in love with his hair. The rest of him was crappy. Last year I was put on meds that literally turned my hair brassy red. My poor hairdresser Lolly was stunned. It took three treatments to correct the color. I would have left it red, but my husband loves my natural color. "natural" ha. Anesthesia turns my hair into strange colors. I was calico for about six days... Lol I would love to go bright red. Really.
