Shipshewana Candy Store: Saturday Blog Hop

We would like to showcase our visit to Shipshewana, Indiana today with some pictures of this very cool CANDY Store!!
C'Mon...can you seriously say NO to this pie?????  Every single pie was homemade by the Amish...and totally delish!!

Everything was very clean and neat...in every single building we went in!  Check out the beautiful quilts hanging up!!
Cute little tables to eat your pie at!
Across from that cute little table is the neatest little Candy Store!  I haven't been in a candy store in years...we used to go every year when we went to Key West!  Oh, how I miss those days!!
We have some rather LARGE Jelly Beans...in fact the biggest ones that I have ever seen!!

And don't even get me started on the jawbreakers...
LOOK at these babies!!!  Now.....WHO could eat one of these unless you smashed it in a billion pieces with a hammer????
 Ahhhhhh......Chocolate!!
LadyBug enjoying the air!  (I should say HEAT...it was about 100 that day!)

We weren't outside long...LadyBug is checking out birds here!
I just love buying meats at the Yoder Meat Store...they have the BEST meats!!
Now...this is what the girlz did all day while we were out and about...you can see that they are watching HORSES....Amish Horses!  They had never seen them before and were quite interested in them!!

Hurry Up and come home Mama...we are STARVED!!!  Got any of those meats???

Actually...I bought them a whole huge bag of raw marrow bones!

Jeanne, that pie looks AMAZING! We have a large Amish population here in Pennsylvania who sell their food, baked goods and crafts at a place in Philly called, The Reading Terminal. I adore their goods. And they are also such lovely people.

Hope you're having a great weekend and that's it a bit cooler there than it is here. OMG...it's over a 100!!!

X to you and the girlz!

There was an Amish store near where we used to live that sold baked goods. They made the best date cookies ever!

We don't think Mommy would ever leave there! Our Grandpa from Kansas has talked about that store when he's been in that town in his RV but we didn't know about the meats! Hope you both got some!
