Double Header!! Oscars AND Daytona!! Gooo Danica!

Tonight is the Oscars. Which I love. I'm a bit crazy like that...I truly enjoy watching the Red Carpet arrivals on the ET Entertainment Channel...seeing who I think should win best and worst dressed!!! Since we go to the movies every week, I usually have a pretty good idea of what the good and bad movies are...I will miss some of my old favorites...George Clooney, Julia Roberts, Tom Cruise, Jennifer Aniston, Charlize Theron, Halle Berry, Reese Witherspoon, Meryl Streep, Brad Pitt...there are so many people I have hardly even heard of!!

The girlz will join me in their couture wear!!

and LadyBug:

When my sister still lived in town, we used to make a big day out of it...watching pre and post show and having little appetizers. The year she moved to TN, I flew down for the Awards and we had our party there! Unfortunately, the cost of flights is INSANE and I will miss watching together...but we will probably FaceTime to compare notes.

It will be an especially busy day because Danica Patrick is racing in Daytona and I don't watch a lot of races throughout the year, but I DO like to watch the Daytona and the Indy 500. So, I will be cheering loudly for Danica and hope she does well. She doesn't have to win...just show those boys!!

Sounds like you have the day planned out.I am not one for awards shows. But maybe if there were appetizers involved I would be right there with ya.

you should have a red carpet for the girlz and let them show off the bling.

I'm not a big racing fan... but some family members are fanatics. I do hope
Danica does well !!

Jeanne, I totally forgot about the Oscars tonight, so thanks for reminding me!

Like you, there was a time when I would make a big deal about it by having friends over for an Oscar Party. My favorite part was the Red Carpet. LOVED it!

I am so lovin' Chloe and Lady Bugs' couture wear. FLAWLESS!

Have a super day, dear lady!

X to you and the girlz!

You girls look very glamorous! We're watching the Daytona 500 too but our mommy's favorite driver was just in a wreck so she's not happy. Daddy's driver is still running though so he's happy.

Hi Jeanne, WE just got home from our weekend in the mountains and hubby had taped the race-so we are watching it now. Not sure why Danica has switched from the Indy to Daytona but hope she wins. We are experiencing heavy snows and our poor Hunter is still at the kennel(they only have one time on Sunday to pick dogs up)-hope he is warm.
Hugs and enjoy the shows today/tonight.

We love the Oscars, we had steak and baked potatoes and yummy desserts and watched the whole show. Mommy loves Seth McFarlane so she loved it. Mommy and Daddy love racing. They were glad Danica came in 8th, thats good really since she is newer to Nascar. I hope your Mom had fun

i managed to stay awake til 11 .. then i decided i could wait til the morning to learn who won ... tickled with all the winners .. if Affleck couldnt get the director nod, i am glad Ang Lee did, Life of Pi was amazing and he is a really good versatile director .. mostly i am glad that Silver Linings didnt win because really it was a lot of hype about a very flimsy film

Some years I watch, other years I don't. This year I tuned in for most of it.

Love the girlz couture! Gorgeous.
