Epic Fail!

The ThunderShirt was an Epic Fail.

It was storming SO loudly for SO long that I finally insisted on stopping by a PetSmart to purchase a ThunderShirt because it's the only thing we have not yet tried on LadyBug.  Honestly, this poor dog is going to have a heart attack...she gets SO worked up!

Not only was I not impressed with the results of this "swaddling" technique...I thought the quality of the shirt was very cheap.

Needless to say, we are back to square one and we will be visiting the store to return the shirt.

So disappointed!

Oh no - poor LadyBug. We hope your mom held you the entire time. We don't like thunderstorms either. They are EVIL!

We always wondered if those shirts really work, now we know the answer! We thought about buying one for Muffin as she is sooooo scared of storms. We won't waste our $$.

Aw that's too bad!! I have a Thundershirt for my boy Koda, and it actually does work for him. However, I do not user them for thunderstorms but rather his anxiety issues when I leave the house, and his excitability when company comes to the house. It has worked for those purposes. So sorry it didn't work for you :(

Poor baby. We don't get a lot of those storms but fireworks season mom blasts the TV so loud to hide the noise it usually works.

They either work or they don't. Maybe try your WiggleLess next Thunder? It is much more formidable and can help calm a dog down as well. Sweet one! Thunder can be so scary!!

Poor pup! I had an Aussie that was a mess in storms. She would jump in the tub and just shake and drool. Torrey is fine with storms, but does not like gun fire. She is getting better though. Have you tried Natures Pet calming treats? They worked pretty good for Torrey.

I'm so sorry the shirt wasn't helpful. I hope you find a solution what helps Lady Bug... it's so sad when we see the fear of our furfriends...

Poor LadyBug! That shirt didn't help a woofie friend of our's calm down either. Does Rescue Remedy work for her? It helps me when there's fireworks. ~Angel

aw poor girl. she doesn't look happy at all. sorry it didn't work

Sorry to hear it didn't help. You do have to make sure it is very snug. For some dogs it only helps calm them a little. It might not help much in your RV since there isn't as much insulation from outside noise as in a house.

That didn't work for me either. I get pretty upset too. Mommy has some calming chews from the Vetlady and they kind of work just a little bit. I hate storms.

Hi Jeanne, Poor LadyBug! It works for my Chloe. I read you need to introduce them to it prior to a storm so they're calmed by the swaddling effect before they hit DEFCON 1 :)

I don't know anyone that says the thunder shirt work on. Some says it helps but it didn't on Scooby Doo neither. We use the Storm soother that Jackson Galaxy has in his cat collection. If its a really bad storm,ma just swaddles Scooby in a blanket like a baby. She is a expert swaddler. :)
Between those 2 combinations and turning the tv volume up, it helps.
Poor ladybug. I hope you find something that works for you.
