Thursday Thirteen: I haven't participated lately as I was just plain running out of thirteen things to write about each week, so this week, I am answering 13 random questions....here ya go!

1. Do you eat out or at home more often? We eat out 2 or 3 nights a week...4-5 in the summer.


2. Do you know anyone with the same birthday as you? No

3. How many countries have you visited? USA, Canada, Mexico - several different places, Bahamas, Bermuda

4. Do you speak any other languages? French

5. Have you ever gotten stitches? Several times

6. Have you ever been in an ambulance? Yes, when my father ran me over with the lawn tractor when I was eight years old. My leg was broken in several places.

7. Do you prefer an ocean or a pool? I prefer to swim in a pool, but I do love the ocean beaches!

8. Do you prefer a window seat or an aisle seats? Window

9. Do you know how to drive a stick shift? Are you kidding....NO way!!

10. What is your favorite thing to spend money on? Craft Supplies, Books, Electronics, Shopping, Spas - I guess just plain old Retail Therapy!!

11. Do you wear any jewelry 24/7? I will not leave the house without rings - usually several, earrings, and most of the time necklace / bracelet

12. What is your favorite TV show? Greys Anatomy, The Office, Anything on the E Channel, Dancing with the Stars, Lost, October Road, Dirty S**y Money, S** and the City, Friends Reruns, Everybody Loves Raymond, MASH, SOAP,

13. Can you roll your tongue? Yes

OK, so you don't think I'm completely nuts, I did my TT this week on this cool magazine I found today at Michael's. I know that there are many home-school participants out there who may be doing halloween projects with their kids. One of the things I really miss about my daughter getting older and moving out is all the fun things we used to do together. Well...we still do fun things together, just not the day to day stuff. Anyway, this little magazine I picked up is available at your local Michael's store for only one dollar and it is chock full of great Halloween crafts and ideas. Many of the instructions are in the little magazine and the rest can be found on Michaels.com

So, if you like Halloween like I like Halloween, check this thing out! Let's have a blogosphere Halloween Partay!!!!!! Happy TT All!!

This list was actually started L O N G ago. It was originally supposed to be a list of things I wanted to accomplish sometime in my life. There's no timetable and I am constantly adding things. It is a work in progress and I expect always will be!! I should mention that some of the things I have ALREADY accomplished!!

1. Keep a Journal...for more than like...a week!

2. Meet someone in person who I met online.

3. Sing Karaoke.

4. Relax on a beach alone on an island for an entire week.

5. Read a whole book in a day without interruption.

6. Go to Disney World.

7. Ride a horse on the beach.

8. Quit at least one bad habit.

9. Get one of my cards published.

10. Have one of my photographs published.

11.Go Camping in the Wilderness.

12. Own a Dog or Cat.

13. Register as an Organ Donor.

*Updated* I have been asked which ones I have completed....so here goes...

*Yes, I have kept a journal for longer than a week.

*Yes, I have actually had lunch with a woman I met online on EBay.

*I have done karaoke...but I was too drunk to remember much of it...and it was YEARS ago!

*I have read a book in one day without interruption.

*I've been to Disney World several times and would go again in a heartbeat!

*I quit smoking about ten years ago...the absolute HARDEST thing I've ever done!!

*I've had a couple photographs published on an internet website...but never in a magazine.

*Yep, I've gone camping in the wilderness....total wilderness...in the Adirondack Region of NY - years ago - we used to go twice a year - once on Memorial Day and once on Labor Day!

*Believe it or not, I have owned cats...til I found out that was the reason for my severe allergies....cat dander! I loved my cats, but I had to get rid of them. Now, I've got my two dogs to keep me company.

*My sister used to be engaged to an organ transplant surgeon. I signed the back of my driver's license at that time to donate any needed "parts" .

So, there you have it....more to come!! As I said, a work in progress!

Thursday Thirteen

Take a walk through my Cottage Garden yard...I just love planting my flowers in late May and watching them grow all summer long. Of course, I plant pretty easy plants! The ones in my circular garden are perennials and I have had pretty good luck with them. My potted flowers are all different varieties and I change them pretty much every year.

A bird has decided to take up residence in this little house and I just don't have the heart to kick him out! He has worked very hard to make this nest. I can't even believe that he fits in there!



Ahhhhh....my Italian Basil...Fresh Herbs are the BEST!!
