per Popular Demand.....HERE's the SNAKE!!

Now, I know that you guys are just going to say that it's a very small snake, but let me tell you...if it is a snake of any size....I hate it. I am afraid of snakes. I actually went to a Rattlesnake Convention in Alamagordo, New Mexico. There were LOTS of rattlesnakes at that convention. I bought two pairs of earrings and hightailed it outta that place!!

heya, bermuda.... i am not a fan of snakes. i used to have a tarantula spider which i kept in an aquarium and fed live crickets. wasn't all that sad when it died.

i love the bichon photo! we take care of a friend's bichon from time to time, and let me tell you, she is absolutely in charge when she visits. boscoe and riley do exactly what she says, and she's always out the door first. funny dogs.

Snakes and I do not get along. I scream and run in the other direction.

I have used worms that are bigger than that for bait.
But, I do have to agree that any snake creeps me out.
A Rattlesnake Convention? How many attorneys attended?

Eek! It's a snake. I'm with you, I don't care what size it is. I'm always afraid that when I'm hiking in my crocs a snake will get on the heel of my shoe, under the heel of my foot, while I'm on my toes, then when I put my heel down the snake will be there between me and my shoe and I will scream and dance and the snake will dangle while I shake my foot and some part of me will get biten. EEK!

REGARDLESS of size, I'd still be scared! :)

I'm fascinated: Why did you go to the convention? And were the earrings you bought snake earrings?

Yes...that is a tiny snake. The kids found a garter snake a couple of years ago. They brought it in the house and kept it. It would wrap itself around this straw hat and the kids would wear the hat around. Eventually it did die. I think it wasn't well because it didn't try to run away.

Oh...at that same time we had some friends from Dawn's church come over. They were from Africa...Kenya to be exact. They screamed when the kids bought out the snake. Seems pretty much all snakes are poisonous over there. it was pretty funny ;-)

laurie - spiders make me nuts! I do adore bichons and yes, she pretty much runs the place.

nikki - yeah, I screamed and ran too! After I took the photo!

fiwa - I did love visiting out west, but I don't think I could live there. I think I'd miss all the green. And the water. I would definitely miss the water. But, Cloudcroft was a neat place to vacation!

karisma - get out! to me, the thing was huge.

swampy - hahahaha - a couple attorneys were sitting next to us.

lisaschaos - get yourself a pair of crocs WITH HEELS!

worksformom - my fear of snakes will never go away.

thegalherself - we just happened to be there on vacation and the Indian jewelry out there is amazing!

sirdar - funny story about your Kenya friends!!

That is funny about the snake convention. I think the one in the photo is very cute, and if not poisonous, would quickly become a pet in our home. I did a post on Snake stories July 15th. The photos are from the internet. The funny thing about the post, is it is visited almost every day according to my stat finder. It is definitely my most popular post, but you won't like it.
