Holiday Weekend

I am very surprised that we have not seen more campers coming in this weekend. Our cottage is located on a road that ends on a private island....a private island that also happens to be an RV Resort. Normally, on Friday nights and Sunday nights, the traffic gets to be rather annoying for a backroads little town. Not today. One wouldn't even be aware that it is a Friday - much less a holiday weekend! I guess the news is right. More people are staying home. More people are NOT TRAVELLING. Well, as long as we are here at the cottage....I give you a few more views of my life here...

Beautiful photos. You live in such a pretty place. The lack of travelers must be due to gas prices?

Love the cottage and the serenity there!

I'm not surprised that more folks are spending their holidays at home this year, gas prices are outrageous and there are probably many who are really struggling to make ends meet.

I'm not surprised. With everything costing 10x what it once did, who can afford to travel? I mean the round trip for us to go to my parents is now about $150.

Well, this sounds good - sounds like you might have a more relaxing weekend without all those visitors. Have Fun! See you - Kellan

What a terrific place! Oh goodness, I would LOVE to be there! AND, yes, people are indeed staying put. Too bad. I was checking out our camper today and wondering if it is going to see much activity this year...

Enjoy your time. It sounds like you might have some nice "alone" time! (just think of all of that ghastly campfire smoke you AREN'T inhaling!!!!) hehehe

Looks like a great place and I am with everyone else. I bet it could be the gas prices that are keeping everyone at home.
