Blogging is a GOOD Thing!

When I first started blogging, I just wasn't sure what I was doing. Actually. Lord knows, I still don't. But I have learned one thing. That blogging has brought me some very good friends - blog buddies. Some people may laugh. Some people won't. Because they don't understand. They don't understand the pure camaraderie we bloggers have with one another. I'll give you an example. I have a blog buddy in Virginia. This particular blog buddy happens to own a bichon. This bichon has had very bad experiences with separation anxiety. I would call it a situation where this bichon was traumatized. I will do whatever I can to help my blog friends. So, I made a few contacts and voila...thank the Lord...Sophie has a great, SAFE place to stay!!

Secondly, my good friend, Mary, over at her blog, is celebrating her one year blogiversary!!! Happy Blogiversary Mary!! And she is having a Blog Give-A-Way to celebrate and we all get to participate!! WooHoo! So, head on over to say Happy Blogiversary to Mary.

Isn't it amazing the wonderful people we meet through our blogs??

And that's a good enough reason for me.

I really don't know for sure that I have any blog theme. I put up family pics, a few handmades for sale, an occasional rant, introduce some friends, highlight times with hubby. And sometime post nothing for days. And I love that I can just be that way with no pressure.

But I always find myself saying things to my family and friends who don't blog like, 'so and so... my blog buddy... said this or posted that or commented this' and I know that some people I say this to do not understand it at all or even really know what a blog is. But I do think that even though many bloggers will never meet in person, the connection is still there, and very strong. Another blogger friend said on his page recently that because you don't 'see' the other person right away you get to meet on another level and I totally agree. It's probably better in many ways. In person you get like 3 seconds to make a quick impression so some relationships never even stand a chance (cause we all sure have those crazy days when no one would approach us) but in a blog you can go back and read a little more and see a little more and chat a little more.
I'm happy for the year I've had so far and hope to continue on.
Okay, so WOW, I just rambled on in the wee hours.... oops. But another reason it's so fun. You can get away with that!!! LOL

Thanks Jeanne, for your kindness! Not just for entering my giveaway (altho you are getting TWO entries!!) but just for stopping by and leaving a little luv. Right back at ya! Mary :)))

And it's a fine reason for me too. I love visiting to see what my blog buds have been up to.

I agree with you totally. I love my blog buddies and it is really the coolest thing when I say, someone in Virginia, was saying the other day.... People who don't blog, just don't get it, or some that is. My mom is getting high speed internet soon and she seems really interested in my blog which really surprises me. Maybe she will have a blog sometime too.
