On one of our trips we came across a windfarm. I was so taken with the sight I almost drove off the road with the trailer.

I've been reading lots of articles lately that say these things kill bats - and not because they fly into them either. Odd that.

Aha!!! Jeanne, you found some wind generators!!!! I posted about this wind farm a couple of years ago!!! They have a PARK there? Amazing!!! We traversed up dirt roads and got a good look at them. My heart pulsed with JOY at their site. Spelled "INDEPENDENCE!!!!!!!"

Very cool!!!! Great little clip, there!

I LOVE the huge windmills!! We passed one of the stand pieces on a truck on the highway and were totally amazed at how BIG they really are. :)

I love windmills. We call them wind turbines here. I even noticed they have some in PEI when I was there this summer. Amazing when you see them being hauled on the highway to their destinations to see just how long those blades really are.

We have areas like that in Alberta, in fact where we went to one Geology camp where we went to the coal mine, there were wind farms in that area. They are pretty cool looking really.
