Life Really is a CROCK!

So, I have a love affair with my crock pot. Use the freakin' thing all the time! I stumbled across this website of a person who REALLY loves her crockpot....she pledges 365 days of using hers! I admit I do not use my crock pot every day. Not even every week. But you can do lots of creative things with one! Check this out

Talk about amazing!!! She's even famous!

The crock pot is particularly useful while camping! Will work out great in the RV. I am currently on a search for a new one...

I clicked over and the food looks delicious! I love my crockpot too, not in love with it, but it doesn't mind. :-)

I'm waiting for cooler weather to make a crockpot full of red beans and rice.

I wasn't a huge Crockpot fan until I started going to the Crockpot lady's blog daily. Now I use the Crockpot and her recipes at least once a week.

I don't use mine alot, but I did use it yesterday. Hubby wanted pork and sauerkraut. So before I left for errands I loaded it up with a big piece of meat and a big bag of kraut and a few apple slices. When I came home later in the day I'm on the front step thinking that I smell cat urine. I come inside and WOW the smell of god knows what has invaded every corner of my house. It's that meat and kraut dish just cookin' away like it fricken owned the place. O.M.G.
When I came in and my eyes adjusted to the sour cabbage fumes I did get used to it some. When hub got in a little bit later he was practically diving into the pot. He had two huge helpings and was making all those yummy yummy in the tummy sounds of delight.
So I guess it turned out alright based on his reaction.
Me, not so into pork and other than a little bit on a reuben sandwich, I totally don't like kraut.

He wants leftovers tonight...... eeewie.

I use my crock pot ALL the time in the cooler months but will put it out occasionally in the warmer months. I think I heard about this woman who was cooking in her crock pot for a year. I'll have to go take a peak at that site.
