Missin' Vegas...
When I met my husband I was in my early thirties and we did ALOT of travelling...and I mean ALOT!! Since I had never done much prior to meeting him, it was a whole new world for me! One of our trips was to Las Vegas. It was one of the highlights of my life! I felt like I had been living under some sort of rock for my entire lifetime.
Vegas is very hard to describe! It's like "excitement in a can" or something!! If you have never been....GO!!! There is so much to see and do!! We didn't even get a car...we spent every waking moment just looking and laughing and pointing and EXPERIENCING everything!! Of course, it was much more exciting to me than it was to my husband.
Well....my daughter, now 23, is visiting Vegas for HER very first time and so.....I get to experience it again in a way...through all of her excited phone calls and texts! She loves it just as much as I did!!!
Isn't it wonderful to have such terrific memories of a particular place??

Yes, it is very neat to have a special place!!!
I have never been to Vegas. Never been to the "left coast", either! Well, I have been to Washington state. (my family drove across country one year so I could fly to Alaska to visit my brother and his wife)
And speaking of Alaska, I think that would be my "special place"! There is nothing quite like it!!!!
I've never been!! We live near the casinos here in CT, but they have nothing on Vegas from what I can see. Someday...
What's even better? Sharing those memories with your daughter who is experiencing Vegas too. Hope she has as wonderful a time as you and your hubby did and maybe one day you can all go back there again together!
Vegas. I guess I must have looked very odd to people. I lay down to admire the Chihuly ceiling at Bellaggio. But honestly that is the best way to view it. That has to be my absolute fav. And the Loggia of course. We were just there and I was sad to see that the economic slump has hit Vegas. She looks more like an old lady with bad make up. Caesars' Palace has peeling wall paper. Lots of people, but the shops were empty and the only lines were for free tickets to shows. It is unique and a fun city, I just wish they would do away with the annoying paper snapping porn pushers on each street. It really felt like an assault and truly... it takes away from the enjoyment of the city.
Silvieon2 and yes... it was a conference! {Silvieon4 is still mad.}
I've never been to the west but some day I'd love to go in that direction. Gotta see the Grand Canyon before I pass. Glad your daughter is enjoying Vegas as much as you did!
I only spent a long weekend in Vegas but it was great fun. I'd like to visit again.
I got married in Vegas...so you know I love the place. I can only handle about 3 days though...it's crazy! I was just there last month with my kids...lol...they thought it was nuts!
I Loved Vegas!! Especially the nickle slots!!Hahaa...and museum!! The lights!! Food!!Hahaa...Love to go back someday!hughugs
I have always said, if you go to Las Vegas and don't have a good time there is something horribly wrong with you. It truly is a place that has something for everyone. I say we set up a Bloggers Get Together in Vegas LOL
