Road Trip Booked....CHECK!!

So happy to have something to look forward to!!!

It has been a very sad week. We are still struggling with our sadness over losing Zip. Even though we know that it was the right thing to do does not make it any easier.

My stepdaughter called to let us know that she has to go to a wedding and will be flying in from Minnesota with the little guy...(he's three) and her older son (fourteen) and we get to go hang out with them for a couple of days!!! Here we were thinking that we weren't going to see them this year.

Nothing like a ROAD TRIP to make our lives a little brighter...we won't be going for awhile yet...

But we have the reservations all booked and we will be getting the RV all cleaned up!!

SO happy!!

Hope everyone is having a safe and happy holiday weekend!!

Go....

Hug a Soldier!!!

I'm so sorry to hear about Zip. I'm glad you have a fun trip and family visit planned to distract you.

I've entered a major international photo competition (details are on my blog) and would be most grateful if you'd click through and rate my portfolio (just click on the stars at the bottom (preferably the 5th star - "fantastic" - LOL), easy peasy, no registration or personal details needed). Thanks so much!

Jeanne, I remember when I had to take our Lady the Wire-Haired Fox Terrier for her final vet trip...for weeks afterward, I strained my ears every morning, waiting to hear her nails tapping on the hardwood floors as she danced....All the good memories are what keep us happy, though. I am sure you have so very many with Zippo!

Well, it sounds likr summer just got a bit busier for you! I am like you in that I love having something fun to look forward to! Seems like life sometimes overwhelms us, but a diversion is fantastic!!!!

(still searching for that soldier...)

planning to go somewhere/anywhere sure lightens the mood, doesn't it? I'm finally off tomorrow for New Hampshire and the organic apple workshop. searching searching... finally found my camping gear (in the trunk of my Honda, just as I packed it when I "shipped" it here, LOL)... clothes washed.... floor swept, stuff picked up... Jake's meals ready to pack, Pike's care arranged... but... mustn't pack until after I drop Jake off or he'll be too too sad. Hard to distract myself so I'm doing what I need to without thinking too loudly about leaving, so he doesn't freak out. But boy, my mood is floating! Only thing that could make it better is if my little Jake could come along....

Never been to NH before, so am really jazzed!
