Tasty Tuesday: The Valentine's Addition!!

If you have been reading my blog for awhile, each year I make this addictive Valentine's Chex Mix snack!! Check it out!!!

4 1/2 cups Rice Chex cereal

1/2 cup white vanilla baking chips

1/4 cup peanut butter

2 tablespoons butter or margarine

1/3 cup powdered sugar

1/4 cup red, white and pink candy-coated chocolate candies

2 tablespoons red or pink sprinkles

* Place cereal in medium bowl. In small microwavable bowl, microwave vanilla chips, peanut butter and butter uncovered on High 1 minute to 1 minute 30 seconds, stirring every 30 seconds, until melted and smooth.

* Pour peanut butter mixture over cereal, stirring until evenly coated.

* Place 1/2 of the cereal mixture in 1-gallon food-storage plastic bag. Add powdered sugar. Seal bag; shake until well coated. Spread on waxed paper or foil; cool about 15 minutes. (I find it takes closer to an hour...so it's not so sticky!)

~Here's a tip though...you may have to make a double batch if you are sampling as you go along!!

we've must've missed this recipe last year, because mom would've made this for herself already, but she's going to make it now this year. it looks so good and is so pretty to look at!

Yum Yum ~ Lee starts on snacks like that she can't stop. Lee just put our scotty ornaments away till next Christmas. We put them on ribbons and hung them down the side of a mirror so it looked like there were six of them.
Thanks for being a friend
