It's That Time! Time to #BugOut

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of The Orkin Ecologist for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

Bugs.  Insects.  Creepy, Crawly Critters.  Some people are afraid of them, but at Orkin, they study them.

Every creature has its place on this planet— whether they harm people or property, or help the environment thrive.   They all have a purpose!  Orkin  knows that the best way to control pests is to learn as much as they can about them and they have been studying bugs for over 100 years.  Orkin employs scientists on their staffs to ensure that science is kept in the FOREFRONT of their business.

Orkin continuously takes the insights that they gain and apply them to their business.  They believe that has made them better at what they do. In studying bugs to better control them, they’ve found that they are  fascinated by them too!

Bugs are curious creatures full of unexpected complexity!!   That is why “The Ecologist” site was created ... to celebrate science and the very uniqueness of bugs.

Orkin would like to explore the science behind insects and the vital role that they have on the world. Let's  help spread the knowledge and make the "Orkin Ecologist" a valuable resource for ecology enthusiasts.

I don't think it will surprise anyone to discover that arachnophobia TOPS the list of most common phobias.  I have had my very own arachnophobic experience this month!!  My home was overrun with what I now know was Wolf Spiders.  I cannot give you any exact reason why as I have lived in my home for over 20 years and have never had a problem like this before....I have seen some Wolf Spiders...a couple here and there over the years...usually towards autumn when the weather is turning chilly.  I have NEVER seen them in the numbers that I saw this year!!  They were everywhere it seemed.  I tried the usual ways of getting rid of these rather freaky looking spiders, but finally discovered it was a job that was WAY too big for me!!

The internet was a lifesaver for me and the "Orkin Ecologist" site is the type of site that gives us information to deal with these insect issues.  The site is filled with photos and information so that you can determine exactly what type of insect you are dealing with and HOW to deal with it!  Give it a try...check out the website...you will find out all kinds of interesting information!! scariest and deadliest bugs in the world

The "Orkin Ecologist" site is a fabulous educational resource for science lovers and I encourage you to check it out!!

Head on over to the Orkin Ecologist on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/TheOr…

I also encourage you to Follow the Orkin Ecologist on Pinterest (http://www.pinterest.com/orkin)

Please feel free to share YOUR #BugOut moments by leaving me a blog comment, or on Twitter, Facebook, or Pinterest.

Being our first spring/summer in Northern Cali I couldn't BELIEVE the number of spiders and spider webs in my yard. I'm going to head over to see if that is normal...and to see make sure they aren't the type that can sting the pups!! Thanks of the info J...

Mommy crawled up on a chair after seeing that picture so I am answering. We don't like bugs is a fair statement.

Yikes and we can say you are not the only one finding a creepy crawly fest either. Seems the weather has been perfect for them. Good luck in getting rid. Have a terrific Tuesday.
Best wishes Molly
