Inspiration for the Day: The Chloe Edition

“I once heard a woman who had lost her dog say that she felt as though a color were suddenly missing from her world: the dog had introduced to her field of vision some previously unavailable hue and without a dog, that color was gone. That seemed to capture the experience of loving a dog with eminent simplicity. I'd amend it only slightly and say that if we are open to what they have to give, dogs can introduce us to several colors with names like wildness, nurturance, trust and joy.”

that's a wonderful quote and it's so true. You look great on the table, that's like "summertime and the living is easy"

That's a great quote, and of course a very cute pic.

I wonder if we find this new source of colour in our world because we start seeing things through a dog's eyes. That nasty bunch of dandelions growing in the lawn...now something to explore and maybe roll around in. The neighbour's garbage can?...filled with strange stuff that we don't always eat, or buy for our families...a treasure trove for the woofer. People are different too...why do the dogs seem so interested in a person to whom we might not have given a second look to...but in chatting, find they can have marvellous stories to tell. Dogs are like tour guides in our very own neighbourhoods, making us look twice and then really SEE!

Beautiful, Jeanne! And I agree! To have the presence of a pet in ones's life is to know true LOVE.

Faaaaaaabulous photo of Chloe! She looks like she's smiling!
