Surprisingly enough, fleas do not spend most of their time in your dog's ears or on the cat's back. Adult female fleas usually jump onto a host, they can bite up to 400 times in just one day AND they can lay 50 eggs in a day that drop into their host environment.
Adult fleas only spend a couple of hours actually on the animal and will jump on and off the host. In a single day...one flea can ingest FIFTEEN times their own weight!! Just one teeny little flea can live for a year....a YEAR!! Who knew?? 3500 eggs can be produced in just a week by 10 fleas! In less than a month, these fleas are adults that are becoming more and more active and reproducing rapidly.
It's not JUST the flea bites that cause irritations on our pets. Fleas inject saliva and THEN suck the blood out. That flea saliva can create all kinds of rashes and allergies, not to mention...CONSTANT itching!!
Sometimes, flea allergies will present as tiny, little scabs on the skin. If your pet is prone to flea allergies, it is imperative that you be particularly aggressive at treating fleas year-round. The Seresto flea collar is the perfect solution!
What I am talking about here is PREVENTION. It is critical that you treat your pet's fleas prior to infection setting in! When you can actually see fleas on your pet, the environment is already saturated with young fleas.
Once again, I will remind you that Seresto collars aid in the control of flea larvae within the animal's environment. There is no need to remove the Seresto collar when your pet is swimming or having a bath!
Replace the Seresto collar after just eight months for YEAR-ROUND pest prevention. Now, I ask you, what could POSSIBLY be better than that??

It is such a bummer that they can't make this stuff on a tag or something. We can't be wearing another collar for one, and Mom doesn't like the look of the flea/tick collar. When we are working, we aren't able to wear a collar at all, just the harness for that activity and that is when we are out in a field or something where we need the protection. Maybe some day there will be another option.
I've been wondering how these work. glad to hear it has positive results
