Wild Calling! #TheArtOfNutrition and Living a “Wild” Life

This post is sponsored by Wild Calling!® and the BlogPaws Professional Pet Blogger Network.  I am being compensated for helping to spread the word about The Art of Nutrition, but BICHONPAWZ only shares information we feel is relevant to our readers.  Wild Calling! is not responsible for the content of this article.

I admire a company that believes in honesty. Real. Honest. True. That's the story behind theWild Calling!® Brand. They were concerned about feeding their own pets nutritious foods each day that would provide the vitamins and minerals required to keep their bodies strong. Our pets should consume enough calories to maintain a healthy body weight while also ingesting enough high quality protein to keep their bodies strong and able to repair any damage that they may suffer from.

Everyone seems to be on an All Natural / Made in the USA kick right now and that is a GOOD thing!! Not only do WE need to eat this way, it is also important to feed our pets this way!! Let's talk about ingredients shall we? 96% of Wild Calling! dog and cat food is made up of meat! Meat, Poultry, Fish, and Liver ALL purchased or produced in the USA. They added zinc, copper, and iron to the mix and came up with a GREAT quality product!

Good nutrition means eating foods each day that will give our pets the vitamins, minerals, and other things they need to keep their bodies strong. It means pets eat foods that give them enough calories to have a healthy body weight. It means pets getting enough protein to keep their bodies built up and repair any damage they may have.

Chloe and LadyBug are absolutely THRILLED with the taste of Wild Calling!  We were provided with a bag of the WhiteFish Recipe and YES, it is REAL fish!!  The girls just LOVE it!!  After all, wolves out in the wild will stalk rivers in the mountains hoping to catch some whitefish! Whitefish has awesome nutrients that are excellent for the dog's health.

I used the WildCalling! Whitefish kibble in puzzle games for the girls and played hide and seek with it...my WILD girls just love to play games!!

Let's talk a bit about the ingredients of the Whitefish kibble.  The ingredients include:  Whitefish, Whitefish Meal, Sweet Potato Lentils, Tapioca, Turkey Fat, Dried Peas, Flaxseed Meal, Potassium Chloride, Dicalcium Phospate, Dried Seaweed Meal, Dried Cranberries, Dried Blueberries, Dried Pumpkin, L-Abscorbyl-2 Polyphospate (source of Vitamin C), Calcium Carbonate, Zinc Proteinate, Salt, Vitamin E Supplement, Manganese Proteinate, Ferrous Sulfate, Niacin, Copper Proteinate, Thiamine Mononitrate, Calcium Pantothenate, Vitamin A Supplement, Riboflavin, Vitamin D3 Supplement, Dried Bacillus Subtilis Fermentation Product, Vitamin B-12 Supplement, Biotin, Pyridoxine Hydrochloride, Calcium Iodate and Folic Acid.  See! Told you it contained ALL kinds of goodness and is excellent nutrition for the dogs.

I would also like to mention that we tried a can of Hoppy's Rabbit Food and that can contained 96% RABBIT!!  It doesn't get any better than that!!  Just check out the picture and you will see how much Wild Calling! Food excites them and makes them go WILD!!

GlycoEdge is designed to provide your dog with consistent energy and a low glycemic diet. It consists of Tapioca, sweet potatoes, and lentils. Quality is their MAIN concern. Wild Calling! believes in utilizing the highest quality ingredients; which include hormone and antibiotic-free meat, poultry, and fish. They believe in grain-free nutrition. Their protein is derived from quality animal protein. These rich meats help to create an optimal amino acid profile to support increased energy and healthy muscle growth. There are several different varieties of foods to choose from...so check out their full product line!

Wild Calling! merges dietary science and natural food that is found in the wild. That is what makes this company and their products unique!! The artwork on the package is just beautiful and was actually done for them by a family friend.

One of the the things that is particularly appealing to me is that WildCalling! is  a small Family Owned Operation...mother, father, two sons and a daughter. They do not have to answer to anybody. The bottom line is that they truly want to produce the best possible all natural food that they can! Wild Calling! strives to be open and honest in their communications with their customers...they consider their customers ... neighbors! How about that?? Should you have an issue of ANY kind about their product line, they will do their best to come right out and talk to you about it! They will tell you what happened, how it happened, and what they are going to do to make it RIGHT!

There is nothing I like more than an honest to goodness down home company with family values!

Instead of a strategy they have a story...

 REAL HONEST TRUE

Pawesome review! No wonder that you cleaned your bowl :o) I like that the canned food contains 96% of meat... we once bought a food what said 10% of meatlike substances... that could be all or everything... so YAY for Wildcalling and really good food!

Mmmm, sounds delicious; all of it. But my ears surely perked up when you mentioned Rabbit!

You made that sound yummy Chloe! We saw the fishy and thought it was for kitties too! Our mommy won't let us have rabbit because of Mister the bunny on Facebook. She's weird.

We LOVE Wild Calling! I use the dry food for treats in training because that is how much my boys enjoy them!

Sounds like a good company with a quality product. I can't help but wonder though how long before some animal rights group complains about them using rabbit in their dog food.

I have read nothing but good things about this company and their food Ann! The girls just LOVE it and I am going to continue to use it...on a rotational basis. I switch things up all the time so they don't get tired of eating the same thing every day!

Happy Easter to you all Jeanne. Just wanted to tell you that I bought Hunter the Wild Calling Bison kibble-he is still getting used to it although he does love Bison. Thanks for sharing about this great company; just hoping he takes to it. Such a good company with such great healthy products.
Hugs, Noreen & Hunter

Hi there Noreen! How is the WildCalling! kibble working out for Hunter? The girls just LOVE it!! We are so very pleased with the quality of this food!!

Jeanne Pursell said...

Hi there Wyatt! Chloe and LadyBug just LOVE WildCalling! kibble and I even use it in their treat ball! I could not be more pleased with this company!

Noreen said...

Hi Jeanne, You asked whether Hunter likes the food-well I got the Bison(because he loves his freeze dried Bison). When I opened the package and let him look at the kibble, he turned his nose up at it. Now, I'm still mixing it with Blue Buffalo and he eats it, just isn't something he's always begging for. I know it is good quality, so I'm happy if he eats it. I wonder if one of the other flavors would have been better. We'll see how he does when his Blue Buffalo is all gone. I still add some of his other freeze dried treats to his food as well. He just loves them. Hope you are enjoying the spring.
