My blog is not loading correctly so I hope this shows up! We did a LOT of work this weekend just trying to get the cottage opened up for the season. Ben was here last week and discovered pipes had burst over the winter...not good. Water inside the cottage! Fortunately he caught it in time to shut it off so it didn't make too much of a mess.
There was so much snow here over the winter that our picnic table collapsed! The frame is made of metal! That is some pretty heavy snow.
Rain stayed away for the most part and the plumbing is now working! Yay!
Hope you all had a good weekend!

Oh yuck about the pipes. We had that happen to us one year, too.
I hope you can fix all things and your cottage is ready for a wonderful summer soon... I sometimes want to be a dog too... they can sleep whle we have to work like horses :o)
Looks like the girls really know how to chillax!

Sounds like a right Mess up your way! And that IS a ton of snow.
Hope all goes smoothly now.
Your blag is now back to the regular Blogger comment section...I say YEAH! SO much easier to leave a comment.

Jeanne, I love, love, love your photograph! So cleverly edited!
Glad to hear that your plumbing is now working!
Have a super week, my friend!
X to you and the girlz
They have the life, don't they.
Can't wait to see the cottage

Well, despite all the hard work for the humans, the pups seem to be really enjoying life at the cottage. HOpe you can get things squared away soon and without too much trouble.

Winter was tough on a lot of things. Love this picture. The girls seem to have things under control :)
Looks like the girls worked the hardest snoopervising all your weekend work.
Oh my goodness! I'm so glad you caught it before water destroyed your cottage! A burst pipe during Winter while you're away is a homeowners worst nightmare. I know you'll get past it and have a great Summer!

Oh boy...you have NO idea! Ben was actually there by himself that day so I am REALLY glad he noticed!! It actually broke while he was getting ready to turn the water on for the summer...
Thanks! Actually, the pipe burst while Ben was turning the water on for the season. So...luckily...it didn't happen over the winter! It was a VERY tough winter up North. In the 25 years we have had the place, we have never had the problems we had this year. Hope next year is better! Happy Summer to you guys too!!
As usual...they ALWAYS work harder than we do! :) You did an awesome job on Bentley's scarf!!
Thanks, Chloe does love HER chairs!! Winter was very rough in the North Country this year. We have owned the cottage for over 25 years and never had the problems we had this year. The girls just go with the flow and are oblivious to everything that is going on!
Thank you! It is always quite a lot of work...that is the downside of owning a cottage. The good news is that the pipe didn't burst over the winter. It actually broke while Ben was getting ready to turn the water on for the season. The pipes are so old...they are beginning to crumble! This is a very old cottage and each year we have more maintenance! Fortunately, Ben is handy and we don't have to hire people to do all these things for us or we'd be broke. Hope you enjoyed your holiday weekend and are having fun with your little ones!
I was thinking the same thing, Mary, when I was sweating my a** off and they were just lounging!
Thanks so much, Ron! You always notice my editing "attempts"! I just love all of the apps that are available on my ipad/iphone. I never use my camera anymore. I always have my phone with me so I just use that, but it is SO fun to play around with editing and different apps to make a basic photo come out FABULOUS!! Happy Week to you!!
Oh believe me, chillaxing is their most favorite sport!! They have mastered it!
We were fortunate that nothing happened inside the cottage during the winter. The pipe broke while Ben was at the cottage turning the water on for the season. The cottage is very old and the pipes are literally starting to crumble. I am so glad he is able to fix this stuff himself...we would go broke paying someone to do it! Maintenance...not fun!
Thank you!! Actually it didn't make too much of a mess as the pipe broke when Ben was at the cottage to turn the water on for the season. The cottage pipes are very old and starting to fall apart. I am so glad he does this work himself!
