Grievances...

I happened to be reading one of my Blogger friend's posts and ran across one that she did on things that annoy her on the internet.  Well...that got me to thinking.  There are actually quite a few little tidbits that annoy me.

~  Like Snapchat...don't get it.  I just don't get it.

~ Periscope?  I can take it or leave it.  Do we really need MORE social media sites?  There are new ones cropping up each day and there are only so many hours in each day for us to keep up with!

~ There are people who REALLY overshare their lives.  Drama queens/kings?  Some people's lives are not even close to what is portrayed on social media.

~  Do people really need to share the intimate details of their lives.  Some folks just get WAY too personal.  Let's leave the kids (even the unborn ones) out of it....shall we?

~  Christmas Music.  NOW.  Let's at least wait until after Thanksgiving!  It gets earlier every year.  Yesterday, Starbucks had the Christmas music on.  By the time the day actually arrives, people are REALLY tired of listening to it.  Let's ENJOY the season!!

So....tell me...what is it that bugs you?

You know you have something.

Everybody does.

Oh...and that picture at the top is just my daughter and I out enjoying a fine fall day!

I dislike that some people take the chance to insult or to tease other people... it's not a sign of braveness to hide behind a nickname and to stay anonymous .... and I'm with you for the christmas music. The day my ears will cry the first time because of "Last Christmas" is always a haunted one for me :o)

Crystal set me up a snapchat before she moved...I guess I could get on youtube to learn how to do it but I'm with you...I just don't get it and lately, I'm having a hard enough time keeping up with all of it.
And Star Commie Bucks? Haven't been there since they supported bummer and obummercare.
And this year? I usually like Thanksgiving to come before Christmas but, with all the attacks on Christianity, I think I like it....It all goes by so fast and this year, I think I'll just savor it...
Boiled peanuts...I just don't get them...Hahaa

Oh, Jeanne … I'm going to have to try and limit this to 500 words or less! haha
People that walk up to a register just as a cashier is opening and then get waited on right away while the rest of us in the other lines are like WTF.
Seat kickers in the movie theater.
Slow drivers in the left lane.
Maybe I'll save the rest for a blog post of my own… always can use topic ideas, thanks! :)

GREAT topic, Jeanne!

Several of the annoyances that you listed are mine as well; especially the one about the over saturation of social media.

One thing that really annoys me are the rude, nasty, and outright mean comments that some people leave on blogs and various websites. The worst ones I've EVER seen were the comments left on You Tube. I just don't understand why people enjoy saying mean things to other people. I wonder if face-to-face, if they'd have the courage to say those same things in person?

Have a FAB day, my friend!
X to you and the girlz

:). Seriously, I can't stand all the social media outlets. Just ways for people to overshare and I don't even care! That's why I'm pretty silent on those things. I post rarely and only if something really moves me. I gotta work on the relationships in my REAL life.

This will probably sound ugly, but when people ask for prayers. They don't tell you what is wrong and then you see the next post of them out partying!? What the heck? I feel the need to write a post about this too! ☺ P.S. Your daughter is beautiful. ♥

Oh, i gots one (or should I say Ma does..I'll let her take over) Thanks....it's rude people in the grocery store! Just today, I was shopping in the produce section, and some lady comes over, shoves my cart out of the way, so she could get her organic carrots! didn't even say 'excuse me' or sorry, or even acknowledge my existence! Now, here in CA, we are a friendly bunch, so this was a shock. It is one of those things that, the more you think about it, the more it chaps your hide!
Anyhu, LOVE LOVE LOVE the pic!!! ☺

Totally Agree!! I have been rear-ended in the grocery store one too many times! They could at the very least...say EXCUSE ME or I'm sorry! Thanks for your kind words about the picture!

Jeanne Pursell said...

I am thrilled to hear you say you have never heard of the others...makes me feel SO much better! ๐Ÿ˜„ Thanks for your kind words about the pic of Meish and I!

Jeanne Pursell said...

Oh YES! Whatever happened to good, old-fashioned manners? It's like we are "bothering" them! I hear ya!

Jeanne Pursell said...

No....it does not sound ugly at all. Just honest! It certainly is helpful if they mention what the prayers are for! But, Like I said...I think there are many drama queens just craving attention. Thank you so much for your kind words about Meish! Go for it, Melissa! Everyone needs a "rant" post every now and then!

You and me both Lisa! There are many people and Moms who would benefit from working on relationships! I was in the craft store today and I honestly cannot believe how some of these parents just let their kids run wild...and they never say the word, NO! I came out of there thinking...what is this world coming to??

Jeanne Pursell said...

I KNOW!! Some of those comments are just dreadful! No wonder self-esteem is at an all-time low. I do not think they would have the courage to say those things in public. There are many people who just hide behind the screen! Happy Friday Ron!

Jeanne Pursell said...

Oh yeah Mary!! I need to add yours to my list! I think I could write a couple of pages about things that bug me! Thanks for your kind comment about Meish and I!

Jeanne Pursell said...

Ooh! Good point...my husband and I were just discussing the Christianity / Coffee situation today. Even the Dunkin cups now just say joy...rather than Merry Christmas! You are right...it does go by fast...TOO fast!!! I don't get boiled peanuts either๐Ÿ˜„๐Ÿ˜„ we picked up some in Georgia last year and we were not impressed!

Jeanne Pursell said...

People should keep their comments to themselves! The world would be a much happier place๐Ÿ˜„ I think there are a lot of people who hide on social media...in public...they would probably not have the nerve to talk that way!

Happy Happy Friday we love seeing you two beautimous ladies in the photo.
Let me seeee what bugs us on social media....is ALLLLLLLLLLLLL the different types and ways. Who has time for all that stuff and mom also gets sad when bloggers leave blog for one of those other places and we never ever see or hear from our furiends again. We are just bloggers and will stay just bloggers
and yes there is way to much information shared
hugs madi your bfff

The thing that bugs me and can actually put me into a rage is people mindlessly reposting things on fb that if they gave it half a second of critical thought, they would realize doesn't even make sense and is completely stupid. That and the memes/articles that use shock value language to overstate or lie about something so people read and repost. And the articles that make 15 blanket false statements about food with 2 words that have some accuracy and people justify posting it because there is 'an ounce of truth' to it. People's belief in food is as strong as their religious beliefs so when they see something (or search for it) they repost what backs up their belief even if it is full of garbage and ridiculous statements that go beyond stupid. I kindly stated to a lady who posted about the contact lens melting to the eyeball by getting too close to the bbq, that it couldn't happen logically and her reply was "I posted it just in case". I called her out on another post and she went on a tirade a few days later about how she posts positive things and people can delete her or hide her (describing how to do that to all the 'stupid' people) and she went on and on. That's it! That's what bugs me and now you see how much :-) .

I've never done Snapchat...I have checked out Periscope & do like it, but until I can afford to pay a virtual assistant and have to take care of all of my social media postings myself (besides just having found "MeetEdgar.com", that is actually quite helpful), I just can't be omnipresent on all of the different social media platforms. I've come to like Twitter & Instagram, and that's where I spend most of my time & energy on.

I can't stand rude people, regardless of where I run into them - whether it'd be at the grocery store, the movies, or while walking my pups. Actually the last one really gets to me - when we're out on a morning walk & pass other (dog) walkers, I always say "Good Morning", or at least "Hi". Why can they not return the greeting?? (Some do, of course, but quite a few don't!)
