The White Dog Army has asked us to join them in the Third Annual Worldwide Moment!! This incredible moment of solidarity asking for healing and support for all those in need around the world happens at 11:00pm GMT on November 14th...EIGHT days from today. In OUR time zone...which is EST....it will be SIX pm!
The Worldwide Moment badge on the right side bar to a conversion clock so that if you click, you can know exactly when the Moment happens where you live (5pm CST; 6pm EST...and in the other direction, 3pm PST). The Badge will convert international times as well.
The Worldwide Moment has been an amazingly POWERFUL event that races around the world and carries our spirits and thoughts on the winds to reach out in one communion of HOPE and SOLACE. We would hate for momentum to be lost for want of a clock.
All the White Dog Army asks, in conjunction with us, is for a COMMITMENT of a few minutes on ONE day at ONE time so that our united energies can bring peace, comfort...and maybe even MIRACLES to those in need.
PLEASE help us spread the word by adding the Third Annual Worldwide Moment badge to your blog and circle the date on your calendar! We sure hope you can join paws with us and the White Dog Army!!
TOGETHER our community is an UNSTOPPABLE force!!
On November 14th let us send a POSITIVE VIBES all over the world.
xoxo

Just wanted to take a few moments to tell you about this wonderful contest that you can participate in if you are interested! It is raising money for the Morris Animal Foundation.
The Orvis team is excited to let everyone know about their new Cover Dog Contest that just launched. In conjunction with the contest , they also released a video starring Betty White and her dog Buck. The Emmy Award-winning comedienne truly brings on the laughs as she attempts to get her co-star on the cover of the Orvis dog catalog.
Check out the video here!!
The Orvis Company is committed to improving the health of dogs, and through the Orvis Cover Dog Photo Contest and direct donations, Orvis and its customers have raised over $500,000 so far in support the Morris Animal Foundation in their fight against this terrible disease.
The Cover Dog Photo contest is now open, and photographs can be submitted through March 2012. Be sure to tell your friends and submit your dogs photos soon. Maybe your Dog will be our next cover dog!
Now...we just have to decide which of our photos we will be submitting!!

The Gulf Coast Still Needs Our Help!! The Dogs / Cats Need Our Help!!
If you haven't heard, Pepsi is giving away over $1,000,000 this year to fund great causes through their Pepsi Refresh Project. DogTime has entered the contest and for the month of November, DogTime is looking for help to spread the word!
The cause is to find homes for 500 Gulf region shelter dogs/cats at risk of euthanasia and provide much-needed food for the shelters in that region. At the end of each month, the top 10 ideas in each category receive funding, and with your help they have a great chance of getting there. You can read more about the cause here: http://dogblogs.c.topica.com/maaonTBab1piHci0MX7baehwZY/
Would appreciate help in promoting this cause!!
As Gulf region families continue struggling to make ends meet, record numbers of pets are being surrendered to local shelters. Because these facilities are at maximum capacity, some animals will spend days or weeks in a lonely kennel — after already enduring the trauma of losing their families — only to face euthanasia. For 500 of those at-risk pets, we can ensure a happier fate. DogTime is hoping to help these local shelters by providing food, technology resources, and transportation resources so these pets can find their forever home.
To help support DogTime project to save 500 Gulf are dogs and cats, vote here: http://dogblogs.c.topica.com/maaonTBab1piJci0MX7baehwZY/
Important point: "You can vote EVERY DAY for 10 different projects in the contest. Check out some other great causes at http://dogblogs.c.topica.com/maaonTBab1piQci0MX7baehwZY/

A Really Good Cause....
Many, many people were affected by the Katrina disaster and many continue to be. Tide is doing their part to help out. If you are interested, please read on....this is a very good cause!!
From Tide's Loads of Hope Website: Tide Loads of Hope helps in the aftermath of a natural disaster by providing clean clothes and a sense of comfort to families in need. Partnering with Feeding America, we travel to disaster affected neighborhoods with the Tide Loads of Hope truck or vans, our free mobile laundry service.
Tide Loads of Hope truck:
32 high-effiency washers and dryers stationed on the truck
Can do 300 wash and dry cycles a day -equal to one year's worth of laundry for a single family
Will wash about 9,000 loads of laundry over a four-week period
Leveraged during massive disasters where electricity is unavailable in the region
Tide Loads of Hope vans:
In partnership with a local laundromat, the Tide Loads of Hope vans provide free laundry service at the same load rate as the trucks
Leveraged during disasters where neighboring communities still have a source of electricity
To date, Tide Loads of Hope has washed more than 35,000 loads of laundry for over 20,000 families. Most importantly, the Tide Loads of Hope program means we're equipped to take action whenever and wherever there is a need in our country.
Tide Loads of Hope Vintage Tees:
Tide Loads of Hope can also be supported through the purchase of a Tide Vintage Tee. All profits go to support families affected by disaster.
Where it all started
In the wake of Hurricane Katrina, the need for clean clothing became critical, and Tide found a way to help. So in November 2005, the Tide Loads of Hope truck headed to Camp Hope in the Metairie, LA area and cleaned over 10,000 loads of laundry. The spirit of this first venture informs and inspires everything Tide Loads of Hope program does.
If you are so inclined....feel free to help out here
