Today I Could Use Your Help

Some of you may already know that I have been dealing with an extensive amount of medical issues since April.

Many, MANY, medical tests have been done and I still do not have a definitive diagnosis.

Today I am going in for two MRI's.

If you have a moment, please say a little prayer for me.

I am very nervous.

But, I do hope that this will provide some clarity.

Because I have had quite the go-around with the insurance company...these tests have been scheduled and cancelled twice over the past week.   Don't EVEN get me started on the whole insurance mess!!

My husband has been trying to keep me occupied...

So today we went boating.

It was way too rough for the girlz to go but they sure were happy when we returned!

I appreciate your thoughts.

News...and the Dog Park

Time has flown...it really didn't seem like we were gone for a month.

We walked in the door and couldn't quite believe it.

Sometimes, it seems like we never left!!

The phone has been ringing.  Dr. Visits have occurred.  Blood has been drawn.  News that had not been expected.

Most of you know that I suffer from a variety of autoimmune diseases, and now I have been referred to yet another specialist and must change medications because the ones I am on are not as effective as they once were.

I shouldn't say I am in crisis mode...but in the Dr's words...this is not your garden variety problem we are dealing with here.  This is significant.

Not the words I wanted to hear.

I tried my best to keep up with my active husband on vacation.  He truly prefers hiking and exploring all of the parks.  I used to love doing that sort of thing.  Now, walking any distance is difficult for me.  It's also frustrating because he just doesn't understand.  So, I believe that I must have gone a bit too far and have sent my body into some sort of "crisis" mode.

I should have known better.  This has happened before.

Sometimes, one has to just say NO.

I am including some photos of the girlz at one of our first stops in North Carolina.

Chloe (for some reason) has an problem with dog parks.

Dog parks of any kind.

She does not like them.  So she will rebel.  I managed to get her inside the gate for about 87 seconds and then she was headed back out again.

LadyBug would have been quite happy to stay there...or continue doing laps around the park!

It Started Out Differently

I sat down to write this post. Then I did a random search on cinnamon rolls...I know....WHY cinnamon rolls?? Because I happen to have a roll of Pillsbury Orange Sweet Rolls in my fridge. The expiration date has expired by a couple of weeks. My husband says...use it anyway! I say...nope. I'm googling it. Whatever did we do before google?? Basically I found out that you can actually use it...unless it smells or looks funny. It is an ongoing battle here in my house. I throw out anything that is past the date. My husband keeps AND EATS everything past the date! PS...whose food would you rather eat??

Anyway, while I'm googling my cinnamon rolls question, I stumble across another blog that I have fallen in love with! Every now and then I go blog-hopping...even when I'm not planning on it! Anyway, the blog I am referring to is Joy the Baker! Joy writes like I think...all random and all over the place! I love it! I can relate to it! See what you think...are you often attracted to blogs that just DRAW you in?? Even when not specifically searching for a blog...I stumble across some great ones! That is actually how I have found some really good ones that I like to read fairly often! Sometimes you will see a blog appear on my sideline for awhile, then disappear. The reason for that is I don't always have the time to check the blog out when I find it, so I put it over there on the sideline to read when I have more time. And, there are times when I read for awhile, then lose interest. We all do that, right??

Anyway...the reason this started out differently was because I was planning on talking about the fact that many people have asked whether we are on the road right now. The simple answer is NO. We will be going on our trip to Minnesota...just not for awhile.

We need to get this bone graft situation straight before I can leave town!! Another appointment with the surgeon tomorrow as it appears the stitches have somehow come loose and the bone may still be affected. So, I'm waiting to see what he says. Much depends upon my medical situation. So, for now...we got the RV inspected.

There's a whole bunch of things I still need to get done before the final arrangements can be made...still need to get the girlz in to the vet for their annuals and shots...get flea meds and put Ben's car back on the road. Lots of things have been set aside for the time being...I am supposed to be resting. Yeah...right.

Sadness...

I had a post in mind for tonight, but just found out my former Mother in Law is suffering from esophageal cancer...in addition to the alzheimer's disease. I feel so bad for her. Watching my own Mom go through the battle with Alzheimer's was so very difficult, cancer on top of it is just devastating.

If you are so inclined, please keep Mary Lou in your prayers.

Thank you.

WHAT???

WAHOO! Mama started packin' up the RV for another adventure...it won't be a long one and we aren't leaving quite yet.

But we are smart!!! And we just KNOW that we're going to have FUN!!!

The heat and humidity is getting to us all...and tonight we can't even sleep because Mama isn't feeling very well....she has this thing called Lupus and heat doesn't mix well with that.

Hope y'all have a nice weekend!!!

xoxoxo LadyBug!
(who USUALLY doesn't get to blog...but I stole the keyboard!!!)
