Beef Treats!!

I have to admit...my girlz love BEEF!!! They don't get it all that often, but here's a recipe for you to try for something different!

2 3/4 cups whole wheat flour
1/2 cup powdered milk
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1 egg
6 tablespoons vegetables oil
8-10 tablespoons water
2 small jars of strained baby food...beef flavor! (or you can use chicken, lamb or liver)

Preheat oven to 360 degrees.

Mix all ingredients together in a large bowl and knead for about 3 minutes. Roll out to 1/2 inch thick. Cut with bone-shaped cookie cutter and place biscuits on an ungreased cookie sheet.

Bake in preheated oven for 20-25 minutes.

Makes about 2 dozen biscuits.

Store them the same way you would store people cookies. You can also freeze these in ziplock freezer bags...the girlz prefer them to be slightly microwaved to heat them up a bit...they think they taste better!!

Thanks for the recipe! Looks like it would be a winner at my house too. We were thinking alike, because today I also have a recipe over on my blog for a dinner entree for pups containing turkey, sweet potatos and oatmeal!

Jeanne, I hope you are feeling much better. Thinking of you.

Sounds yummy! We cats get slices straight off the roast - but not the outside bit with the salt, only the inside bit. It's the biggest :-)
