They Wait

The girls do NOT like to be left alone.  They are the most attached dogs you can imagine!  They do not like it when Ben and I go out...anywhere...without them!

Lately, we have had many errands to run...which I will explain in a post...hopefully later today!

Those faces that you see in the window above are the ones we wave to as we drive away.

They stay in EXACTLY the same spot on that same couch.  They don't eat.  They don't drink.  They do not even move.

When we get home,  there they are.  It doesn't matter if we are gone for five minutes or five hours.  It makes me sad.  But, sometimes, we have no choice!

Both of us cannot stay home with them all the time.

So, we do the best we can and I will spend extra special quality time with them upon my return home!

I'm with you... it's heartbreaking to see our pups that way... but sometimes we have to bite in that sour apple :o(

We totally understand, girls. We're with our peeps 24/7 too unless they go someplace that we can't go and then we wait.............

Mom says we are the same, just lie in the same spots until they come back. We say it is just a sign of how much we love our peeps, right Chloe and LadyBug?

I hate leaving my two as well. Matter a fact, I had to take my 8 year old to my mothers last night so she could take him in for CCL surgery repair today and my 7 year old cried and cried when I left him behind. He was fine when I got back but man, it made me cry. I hate when I can't be with them. It's the highlight of my day coming home from work and getting all that love. It's priceless!! :)

Have you spied on them while you are gone? Maybe they just get in that position when they hear your car coming.

Aw that is so sweet! My huskies are the same. And while they do get up and do there own thing once I am gone, they are very quick to jump up at the door when they hear me coming back!

The Boys are the same way, but Doodle Dad seems to suffer the most, he hates to leave them. He will have errands to run, and will ask me to come, so I can sit in the car with them while he goes into the store. I'm there to keep the engine and air conditioning running LOL

Isn't it funny Cathy? They want to be all macho....but they really are marshmallows!! :)

Four hours is our limit...they know if they don't get back...they will find a present!! :)

That's the funny thing...they do NOT leave the couch for any reason! Unless someone comes to the door. We have cameras all around the house so I can watch them from my phone! I guess you could say I am an overprotective mama!!

I spy on them all the time! We have cameras all around the house. I can watch them from my phone. They don't get off that couch unless someone is at the door! I had to fly out of town and it was the second day before they left the couch...even though Ben was home with them!

Jeanne Pursell said...

We agree! That is exactly right Ciara and Lightning!! At least we have each other!!

You guys learned a lot from Sadie! Our cats used to greet us at the door too...sometimes. But only if they felt like it!

Jeanne Pursell said...

It just shows how very much we love our peeps and cannot stand to be away from them!

Jeanne Pursell said...

I do love those fluffy little heads!! I have to admit that it makes me a bit sad to see them get worried when we leave. Ben refuses to even look!!

Jeanne Pursell said...

Agreed! There are times when they just cannot come with us...but we never leave for more than four hours!

It is hard to leave them behind but there are times when it just can't be helped
