Hunter looks very much like your girls right now-in desperate need of a grooming(however the groomer is booked until mid-Jan). I bathed him yesterday and brushed him out so he looks white at least. This morning we had presents out to wrap and he found one of his-a hoof that was wrapped in plastic, and the little stinker took it outside, when I wasn't looking, and unwrapped it so he could enjoy it. Sometimes I don't give him enough credit in the smarts department. Merry Christmas from our home to yours.
