Tasty Tuesday
I give the girlz these chicken jerky treats!!
The jerky is tough and chewy, so it keeps them out of trouble for a little while!
Ingredients
2 to 4 chicken breasts
Directions
Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Fahrenheit.
Remove any excess fat from the chicken. Turn the chicken breast on its side and use a paring knife to slice the chicken breast into 1/8 inch thick strips.
Set the strips on a baking sheet. Bake for 2 hours.
Check the chicken before removing from the oven. It should be dry and hard, not soft or chewy. Allow the chicken to cool completely before serving.
Store the jerky in an airtight container in the fridge for up to two weeks.
You can substitute sweet potatoes for the chicken in this recipe.

Now how easy is that. The hard pawt is getting Mom off her fanny since I can't reach the over knobs!
Hap-Pee ToesDay!
We love simple recipes like that and love chicken jerky that we can make ourselves - no worries about where it came from! Thanks.

I luv chicken jerky! Mama makes it most every month. Not sweet potatos though cos she say they just too dang hard to cut!
Great idea! By the way - If you freeze the chicken you can slice it super thin in the food processor. Recently there has been buzz about the even nastier chemicals the poultry industry are using in response to new salmonella regs, so make sure to rinse the chicken well first, and then sterilize the sink.
You need patience to make jerky in the oven. It takes a long time but its worth it. Happy Tasty Tuesday. Lots of Golden Woofs, Sugar
I'm pretty sure that Duke is going to be wanting some of this. Thanks for sharing that
Hi there, When we were in Alaska I bought Salmon Jerky treats for Hunter; thought to myself I should really make these myself. I'll give it i a go-thanks for the recipe!
Sending big hugs to you today.

Easy peasy AND the best part is that you know they are safe for the pups. Maybe Mom can make us some of these too.
