Miss Chloe decided to actually CATCH a chipmunk! In her mouth! Poor thing was scared to death!
Not to worry...chipmunk escaped unharmed!
Not exactly what Chloe had in mind!
It took us forever to get all those little seed pods out of her fur!

We bet you had a blast, Chloe! That'll teach that chipper to come snooping in your yard!

Jeanne, I clicked to enlarge the photo of Chloe, so I could get a better look at the seed pods and they almost looked like little freckles on her fur - ha!

Way to go Chloe (sorry Chloe's mom). It takes skill to chatch them and then not harm them. Wooo Hoo. Tell your mom it could be worse, could have been a Honeybadger. hehhehehe
Blessings,
Goose
naughty, naughty :-)
Wow, Miss Chloe must not have seen her reflection, 'cause if she did I am sure she would have stopped right away! No girly girl likes being messy ;-)
You are a mighty huntress just like me. I caught one this summer too and then Walter stole it from me to play with and then daddy took it away from us.

Our dogs kill moles all the time, but I've never had to rescue one. Rodrigo killed a bunny when he was a puppy; the bunny was a gonner, so I had to stand guard while my boyfriend dug its grave. And, most recently, our youngest dog killed a snake and smelled horribly until we gave him a chew for his breath.
We live in a rural area and we do have chipmunks, but so far, they've stayed out of the dogs' reach.
oh wow I am sure it was scared!
Stop on by for a visit

Oh my goodness, look at her! I bet that was fun to get all those pods out. I had a cat that caught a chipmunk, but thankfully I was able to save it. It too, was terrified!
I am so impressed. :P I get burrs in me fluff all the time. What a pain!
