If you have been reading my blog for a while then you are probably aware that I REALLY look forward to when the Farmer's Market opens!! There is nothing like fresh home-grown vegetables. Many of the booths are Amish grown vegetables. They even have recipes sometimes!!
My husband makes THE most delicious veggie dish with fresh from the garden zucchini, yellow squash, peppers, onions, tomatoes...and sometimes eggplant. It is just delicious! He just tosses it all in together and voila...instant heaven!!
Obviously, he is the cook in this family!! Ha!

my momma jumped with joy as she saw how tasty all that superfresh veggies look. we love farmers markets, it's great to get veggies what never traveled around the whole planet before it landed in the supermarket :o)

Me too, Jeanne! In fact, we have an amazing Farmer's Market here in Philly (The Reading Terminal) where they offer excellent fresh produce. They also have several areas where the Amish sell their food and baked goods. And it's some of the best-tasting food ever!
