I am definitely going to miss this view...
Another season has come and gone and we are in the process of winterizing and packing. Packing up is a BIG job which takes a lot of time and energy. It seems as if each year, it takes a bit longer than the year before! The girls are actually much happier here at the cottage than they are at home. Being a ranch, it is a LOT easier for them to go in and out to the bathroom...whereas at home...they have a lot of steps to deal with! As they are both getting older, we find ourselves carrying them up and down a lot more. An elevator would make it SO much easier on all of us!! (Smile!!)
At the moment we have been driving back and forth because we had to get both cars and the scooter home. We brought the RV back because it is the easiest way for us to load up the final boxes and we stay in it on the last night before heading home. One of the reasons we stay in the RV that last night is because the water system has to be drained...so we have no running water. At least we do have that in the RV so we cook our last night's meal in that and collapse in to bed before heading home the next day. It sure would be nice to one day have city water! It would make it SO much easier. We probably will not see that in our lifetime...
So, I have a few photos of the various tubs and bins and bags that are ready to be loaded...
Off to sleep for awhile...tomorrow will be a very long day!

oh I'm sure that is a long and hard work.... have a good trip home... the photo of your view makes a good memory you can reload when winter is too long and too cold :o)
Oh, it is always sad to see a vacation season end! We have been waiting for our camping season to start...if only the weather would cool down a bit, we would be off and camping!
Safe travels back home!
oh that does sound like a lot of work. Have a safe trip home
Wow...the summer months went by so very quickly!!!
Have a safe trip back home.
What a beautiful view! It's sad to see vacation end but going back home is nice too.
Oh those seasonal changes! How far apart are these 2 homes?
Your Pals,
Murphy & Stanley
I LOVE the lights so cozy!!!!
Yes! Seasonal changes again! They are about three hours apart...one in the Finger Lakes Region of NY state and the other in the 1000 Islands Region up near CANADA. I am glad they are not any farther apart! Happy Monday guys!
Thanks! You are right...nice to go back...but all of the regular house cleaning duties, maintenance, and laundry are always waiting at both places!
Thanks Cindy! I still cannot believe it is October already...it just doesn't seem possible!
Indeed they did go by SUPER fast! It was such a weird summer...with such warm temps...even through September! The leaves around here have not turned at all! Usually we would be seeing rilliamt res, oranges...and yellows. Not this year! Just green and brown.
I think it is just getting to me...with age Ann. It is a real pain to keep 2 places going. Always something to do whether it is cleaning, maintenance or laundry! Thanks!
Thanks so much! Busy, busy UNpacking now! Happy Monday to you!
Hasn't it been weird this year? Our weather has been SO hot and humid with absolutely no rain. No pretty leaves this year either! Sure hope you can be on the road soon!
Yes, the view does make for nice memories in the dead of winter! And, YES, it is a ton of work! Getting too old for all this! Happy Monday to you!
I would miss the view too! The summer did pass all to quickly, and I know it's a lot of work to pack everything up and winterize everything - You'll need another break when you're back "home!" :-)
