After a long day of housework and cleaning and yardwork...we were just plain beat.
I perked up quickly when I found out I didn't have to cook!

We are talking NINETY degrees today!
It is only the first week of JUNE!
I sure hope that it is not just a glimpse of what the rest of the summer will be like!!
The A/C is getting a workout!!
We ARE looking forward to going to the first Farmer's Market in town here! YAY!!

Yummy! It's starting to get hot here....but that's okay....I just lay in front of the air conditioner....
Nothing beats Chinese takeout on a hot day, or any day for that matter. We have had temps in the 90s for a few days now and again today. Very hot and very humid. Wonder what July and August will bring.

Mmmmm.... we have Chinese food now and then... and go to the Buffet occasionally too!
It's about 87 in southern NJ today but going to high 90's tomorrow and Thurs. Bleh!! I see a takeout order in our future too.

Yes,yes,yes!!!! I love Chinese food, too!!! Have you tried New King's Wok up in Farmington in the CVS plaza? They are pretty good and if you get lunch (before 3pm) it is really reasonable and comes with soup or eggroll!
This heat makes me want to RETREAT!!! I certainly HOPE the summer isn't a scorcher!!!

Jeanne~ we've been in the mid 90's for a week & a half now with 94% humidity...ugh! It's waaaay too early for this kind of heat & to be in the kitchen :-)
chinese is the best! we're lucky to have some great restaurants around us. we've had that same heat and humidity with some severe storms. last couple days though have been the opposite end, cold, damp and rain! no middle ground.
