Monday Mischief: Not Really...

I have to give the girlz credit...as you all know...we are in the midst of making a huge mess of our kitchen and neither one of them has gotten paint on their fur or their feet yet! WOOHOO!!

They are a little unsure as to what on earth is going on as we have been eating our meals at the island instead of at the table...which little Miss LadyBug doesn't like because she cannot SEE as well...just exactly what it is we are eating!!

Here are a few pics of the 87 seconds of sunshine we had this week...and a couple of the girlz...

actually behaving themselves!!

Global Warming?

Chloe here...OK...see that picture up there???

That is the kind of weather we are SUPPOSED to have here in Upstate NY in December.

We have had .9 (as in POINT NINE) inches of snow so far this year.

That is a RECORD.

It was a balmy 55 degrees here today!

Not that we like snow all THAT much, but we do have some super sweet CANADA POOCH winter wear that we would be stylin' in if it were the least bit cold!!

Well.

Hope we at least get a dusting so that we will have a White Christmas.  (you might want to check out the White Christmas Link...it has some COOL light displays!!)

We Interrupt This Edition of Monday Mischief for SANDY

photo: weather.com
Just in case you are wondering what we are doing...we are hunkered down in our house just chilling.

Not much mischief will be achieved today...due to this thing called SANDY.

Chloe is still resting...and really not moving about at all.  Not putting weight on her leg.  She is medicated and we are carrying her inside and outside.  We really, really hope ChloeGirl is feeling better and SOON.

Here is a picture of the girlz getting ready for Halloween:

Stay safe out there!!

Visit with My Blog Friend

About a week ago, while we were watching Beemer, my blog friend invited us over to visit for the afternoon. Well...you know that this did not sit well with the girlz OR Beemer.
We went anyway! It was a GORGEOUS day...sunny and actually HOT Temps!! We didn't want to waste the day! K had some beautiful tulips and a shamrock plant and had made us some delicious homemade Pesto! I LOVE Pesto!! We brought along some cheesecake to celebrate too.

We sat on her deck enjoying the warm temps and listening to our husbands play the guitar through the open window...hard to believe this was taking place in Upstate New York in the month of MARCH. Unheard of!!

So glad that K and her husband only live about a half hour from us...we have so much fun getting together and laughing and talking...and the guys get along great too! I didn't get a picture of her cute little Scottie Dog...he was upstairs...hiding!

My Skies

We have been having the most amazing weather!!!  It has been so WARM!  Granted...right this very minute...it is NOT warm.  It is THIRTY FIVE!  There is a Freeze Warning.  It is supposed to be in the mid-20's to 30's.  That's ok with us because during the day it has been quite nice!

This weekend they are forecasting EIGHTY!  What's up with that??  Oh well....we plan on attending a Wine Festival, so the nice temps will be good!

Here's a few pics of our day!
Happy Thursday!!

There's Just Something About...

Chinese Food!!

After a long day of housework and cleaning and yardwork...we were just plain beat.

I perked up quickly when I found out I didn't have to cook!

Always a good thing!!

Here's a little look at what we had!

Sweet and Sour Shrimp is the BEST!!

The HEAT has really begun to descend upon us here in Upstate NY!

We are talking NINETY degrees today!

It is only the first week of JUNE!

I sure hope that it is not just a glimpse of what the rest of the summer will be like!!

The A/C is getting a workout!!

We ARE looking forward to going to the first Farmer's Market in town here! YAY!!

Have a great Tuesday!!

Disaster Alert: Red Star deploys to Joplin

Disaster Alert: Red Star deploys to Joplin

On Sunday night, a massive tornado ripped through Joplin, Mo., destroying homes and taking lives. First responders are taking care of the people in need, and now we're on our way to help the animals in need.

Just back from an intense deployment to Memphis, our Red Star Animal Emergency Services™ team will be on the ground in Joplin by tomorrow afternoon. As they help shelter the desperate animal victims, they'll give much-needed relief to the brave Joplin Humane Society staff, many of whom are experiencing devastating personal loss.

Please, reach out and give what you can to help animal victims like those in Joplin.

Almost 200 animals — many with wounds and severe skin abrasions — have already poured into the emergency animal shelter set up by Joplin Humane Society. And more wounded and frightened pets are coming in every hour. We have deployed 13 staff and volunteers, as well as our 16-wheel Rescue Rig.

Donate now to support our Red Star rescue efforts.

And at American Humane Association, our critical emergency services don't stop when the skies clear. We're there not only to rescue animals but to help communities recover and rebuild.

Our thoughts are with all of the victims, both human and animal, who are suffering in Joplin.
