LadyBug!
Chloe Girl!!
Let's talk about Dog Food...for a change. Seriously, I have to purchase some dry kibble to take along on our road trip. I've been going back and forth on which one to get this time. SO many have been recalled and it sure is alarming!!
The Orijen is good and the girlz are enjoying it, but it causes a bit of a "gas" issue with one of them. I actually think she is uncomfortable. The other one they did good on recently was Canidae All Life Stages...but that is on the recall list.
I have been asked to do a review of Nutro...and I'm just not going there right now.
Solid Gold Wee Bit was another favorite, and they have recently been discussed, but that particular kind of Solid Gold was not recalled.
I am leaning toward Fromm at this point. At least I can pick up a bag for them to try. Fortunately, that one has NEVER been recalled.
Are you having a dilemma over which type of Kibble to purchase for your furbabies??
My friend Kae was over and we had such a wonderful visit today....Check out a couple of the beautiful pictures she took of my girlz!!

Dom is on Acana.. hopefully its not on the recalled list. He was on Orijen earlier but it kinda was too much protein for him... and they ask me to give less kibble which made him hungry all the time.
Usually i only give him 1/2 cup of kibble for lunch.. and raw chicken in the evenings for dinner. I would prefer to give him more raw chicken than kibble but sometimes when we travel.. it is a bit of problem.
Happy Anniversary to you Jeanne... i am sure you would have had a good one with your loved ones.
Let us know how you like the Fromm. It's on my list of kibble to try out too, girls. Molly is still eating pablum.
Love ya lots,
Mitch
I eat TSC's 4Health (khurrently Salmon and Potato)
The brand was on the list but mine was not amongst the effekhted ones...
Fur now, we have not been khoncerned about the threat of Salmonella and we've been satisfied with Diamond's handling of the situation
Good lukhk with your choice(s)!

We used to eat EVO chicken and turkey formula but the high protein count made us very gassy. We are now on California Natural grain free chicken and it seems to work well for all. We have been on it since last fall. It is not on the recall list, at least not so far. We tried Orijen and yes, it made one of us gassy and a couple of us had a bit of diarrhea. Just be sure to transition to a new food very slowly.
Woos - Phantom, Thunder, Ciara, and Lightning
I have been feeding Purina for decades and Beneful for the last couple of those...my older dogs do well on it and there has never been a recall problem.
I know it's not popular right now and I know there are "better" foods that I could be buying.
I have NEVER had a problem with Purina - and, when we used to drive truck cross-country, it was always readily available so I didn't have to change their food.
So glad you found a Kibble that the girlz enjoy AND has not been recalled.
I've learned a lot from you and your reviews on Kibble.
Thank you, dear lady!
Great shots of the girlz!
Happy Monday to you all!

I was in the pet store to get my cats freeze dried 'treats' .. I buy freeze dried chicken and chicken liver to give them as treats .. tasty and good for them vs treats with additives and such .. anyway . they were giving out samples of a freeze dried food and you might want to look into that to give them in place of kibble .. I'll check out the name tonite, I am drawing a complete blank on the company name ..
Jeanne .. its called Stella and Chewy .. and my cats loved it .. there's dog version as well ..
My mom and sister both use Fromm in their kibble rotation (Mom has a Bichon and sis has a Wheaten Terrier mix).
The ones they've tried have been the Duck & Sweet Potato, Pork & Applesauce, Salmon A La Veg, Whitefish & Potato, & Grain Free Surf & Turf. (The Surf & Turf is great because it's grain free and the kibbles are pretty small.)
The Grain Free Game Bird recipe is one that my mom has not tried yet, but wants to. I just saw it in the store the last time I was there so I believe it should be available now in any place that carries Fromm.
I agree with you on Nutro - best to not even GO there! Yikes!
LadyBug and Chloe look absolutely adorable! Such beautiful pups!
Yes, I am always torn on which kibble to buy. It just seems there are fewer and fewer brands you can trust. And for those on a tight budget, especially in this economy, brand options are even more limited.

Love the Girls shots and I but I buy Purina chicken & rice or lamb & rice...

Hi Jeanne and girlz, I'm still slowly adding Blue Buffalo to the Purina for Hunter; he like Purina better but I want him on a better kibble. Of course I moisten it to make sure he gets enough water. The little guy is doing well but if I don't take him out after he's been sleeping, he goes in the house-my fault but I keep hoping he'll learn sooner than later.
Glad you had fun with your friend.
Hugs, Noreen
Freddie Spaghetti and Gobble Guts Gloria (heehee) eat the Great Canadian. there's never been an issue. I love how Chloe looks in that picture!!
Chloe and LadyBug look so sweet. Duke eats Purina Lamb and rice.
What GREAT photos!!
I don't have any kibble recommendations, but agree that whatever you switch to, do it slowly....
Smileys!

Betty loves her Solid Gold Wee Bit. Love the close up shots of the girls, they are so adorable!
Sasha only likes wet food so I don't know much about kibble. I do remember that the dog I had growing up ate Fromm food and he loved, thats all he ever ate. Good luck, the recalls scare me as well. You never know what is safe anymore.

We've heard great things about Halo.

My Pack eats Innova & I also change it up & make them home cooked meals from Barker's Grub by Rudi Edalati.
Also they get Alaskan salmon now & then.
A dab of yogurt occasionally.
Vanilla ice cream.
