This photo was taken last year on this day...
What a difference a year makes...
Last year on 3/30 we were busy packing up the RV for our annual southern adventure. It takes a LOT to get ready for a month long excursion. I guess I won't have to worry about that anymore...my husband has decided he wants to sell the RV. It makes me VERY sad as it was truly something we enjoyed. It was something I looked forward to every single day of the year!
This is what my kitchen looked like last year...
Always important to make sure the girls have a good supply of treats!
Onward and upward as they say.
I am packing for my solo trip and that involves trying to figure out how to pack what I want to take in to ONE carry on bag! This time I will be flying and I haven't done that in about three years. I haven't actually been on a solo trip since I was in my 20's! I am on a mission to find a PALM TREE! My sister has moved to a new home that I have not yet seen and she tells me that palm trees are not native to her area. However; I am renting a Jeep, so I will be traveling to the beach in search of at least ONE palm tree and you will see a photo of one here on the blog...I promise you that!
Most people think I am completely crazy to be so passionate about palm trees in general...but you have to understand...I grew up in a very small town in Ohio. I never even went to Florida until I was in my 30's. THAT is when I fell in love with the south! I would move there tomorrow if I could. My husband does not share my love of all things southern. So, I will have to make do with my three day excursion and make the most out of every single second of time I am there! I am debating not sleeping and just making up for it when I get home! :)

I wish you a wonderful time and I cross my paws that you find a beautiful palm tree. I love them too. I bought one and named her Lindsay... sadly after one year Lindsay lost the battle against Jack Frost :o(
Safe travels and happy hunting. I know how it is to be passionate about something. Enjoy every moment.
hugs madi and mom
Mom understands, she grew up in NJ and adores seeing palm trees. Now we see them every day here in CA

Oh Honey! Oh well.... life is change. And something tells me you and the pups will be happy whatever you do!
Sorry to hear about the RV - but who knows what great adventures await your future.
Safe travels and happy palm tree hunting!

I wouldn't mind moving somewhere that had palm trees. Have a good trip
Sorry to hear you're saying goodbye to your RV, that must have been so great to have on fun road trips. I love palm trees too, we have gorgeous palms in Phoenix. Our last house had 5 of them & I loved it! Our current house has only one but it's lovely. It actually grew all by itself! A seed must have landed in the yard. It grew from 6 inches to 7 feet in 2 years! I look forward to seeing the palm you select - happy hunting!

What a cool thing to do, a fun solo trip! I hope you find that beautiful palm tree and the peace of mind that comes along with getting away and doing something for yourself. Enjoy!
Have a great trip!!!
We hope you have a good time on your short but hopefully sweet trip.
OMD.... WHAT TOWN in Ohio???
We know about that Down Sizing of STUFFS... We sold our Pontoon Boat before we moved to Pencil Vane E Ah... it had LOTS of Fabulous Memories that went with it... Just like your Wheelie House will have.
PALMS... AWAY... Hope you find one.
Jeanne, I know HOW MUCH you love the warmer weather, palm trees, and traveling, so I hope you have a faaaaaaaabulous time on your trip to Florida. I remember one of my first trips back to see my family after I'd been gone for 11 years and seeing my first palm tree. It was AWESOME!
Safe travels, my friend!
X to you and the girlz
