Survival

It's a long story, but I am very happy to say that I survived the weekend!

We celebrated my Dad's 85th Birthday which was in March...but he was in the hospital and my siblings are scattered around the country so we have to plan these activities in advance!! 

We also celebrated my brother celebrating 40 years of working at JCPenney...he is retiring in just two days!!

Tried to get a picture of the girlz...but as you can see...they had other things on their mind...

like RUNNING!

Holiday Visitors!

 

The girlz get a little nervous when we have "visitors".

The month of July is family time around here though. My husband's family is around for most of the month so just about the time the girlz are getting used to them being here...they are gone again!

For the time being, we are totally enjoying the nice weather...

Sadness...

I had a post in mind for tonight, but just found out my former Mother in Law is suffering from esophageal cancer...in addition to the alzheimer's disease. I feel so bad for her. Watching my own Mom go through the battle with Alzheimer's was so very difficult, cancer on top of it is just devastating.

If you are so inclined, please keep Mary Lou in your prayers.

The Visit Continues!!!

 

Quick Update!!

Still entertaining visitors and don't have any time...

Quick update on Chloe: The medicine seems to be helping her...but I have been instructed to also try to keep her quiet using "Rescue Remedy" which is a homeopathic remedy for keeping activity / anxiety down...which would be a good thing right now as we have many pooches running around here for awhile yet!!

Visitors....of the FOUR Footed Variety!!

My nieces are coming to visit!!! I am very excited to see them as I haven't seen them since March!!

So I have been VERY busy with trying to get the house ready...as we will have a houseful for the next several days!!

My apologies to those of you who read my blog that are not on Facebook....
Chloe is hanging in there. She doesn't understand WHY she can't play or run and why we are carrying her all the time. I think the medicine is helping...at least a little.

Road Trip Booked....CHECK!!

So happy to have something to look forward to!!!

It has been a very sad week. We are still struggling with our sadness over losing Zip. Even though we know that it was the right thing to do does not make it any easier.

My stepdaughter called to let us know that she has to go to a wedding and will be flying in from Minnesota with the little guy...(he's three) and her older son (fourteen) and we get to go hang out with them for a couple of days!!! Here we were thinking that we weren't going to see them this year.

Nothing like a ROAD TRIP to make our lives a little brighter...we won't be going for awhile yet...

But we have the reservations all booked and we will be getting the RV all cleaned up!!

SO happy!!
