Monday Mischief...Everybody Participated!

One would think that uncovering the RV would be a relatively easy task.

Not so when there are three little white dogs wanting all the attention. And they want that attention when THEY want it. They do not care what the two leggeds plan is. As you can see by the pictures, we had dogs lying under the RV, we had dogs lying under the tarps. We had dogs running all around the backyard.

Finally we banished them to the kitchen. That was not a particularly good idea as it drove them CRAZY. As you can see by the two pictures of them climbing up the glass trying to get OUT!!

Anyway, we finally got it all uncovered and all the tarps folded out, then backed the RV up and around to the front driveway...where it sits...awaiting our next trip!

So excited...planning has just begun!!

Busy, Busy, Busy

This is the busiest time of year for us as it seems there are ten million things to get done!! We are in the midst of getting our Jeep fixed (AGAIN), getting the RV inspected and ready to go on the road, opening the cottage, installing new kitchen appliances...getting the girlz' rabies shots and tick protection all straightened out...too much going on!!

The weather has been absolutely phenomenal!! I leave you with some more pics of Beemer's visit with us...have a great weekend!!

Monday Mischief : The Beemer Edition

Now...do you see this innocent picture of me lying here in the driveway...minding my very own business?

And now you will see this innocent picture...

And now....for whatever reason...you will see that Miss Chloe is somewhere she probably shouldn't be...simply because she was complaining that I was BOTHERING her...can you even imagine???

And then there is the innocent bystander, otherwise known as LadyBug ...lying there all innocent-like when in reality SHE was the instigator!!!

This is just plain MADDENING!!!

So...the question is...who would YOU believe???

Monday Mischief Featuring Chloe and Beemer

So perhaps our mom freaked when she looked out the window and saw us at the bottom of the pool...which had been drained of water. We PROBABLY weren't supposed to be in there...and we really weren't touching any of that stuff...promise!

Besides, our dad said we could be in there...helping him work!

Beemer FINALLY Came for a Visit!!

Beemer FINALLY came for a visit!!!  We haven't seen him since JULY!!!  We haven't seen his mom since then either....so Meish came over to do Mama's hair...she was REALLY happy about that.  She DESPERATELY needed it to be done!!  It looked really bad!!  We probably should keep that to ourselves.

Anyway, Beemer really loves to vacuum with mama so that's what they did for fun while he was here!  He also enjoyed a few of our Cesar treats and he loves to come here for dinner because he doesn't get to eat any of that fabulous Sirloin Steak Cesar Food for dinner at his house!

Beemer was sporting his special SQUIRREL Halloween Costume that his mom got for him at Target!

He wanted to show it to us because we won't get to spend Halloween with him...he is going to a PARTAY!!!

What do you think???  Do you think Beemer looks cute in his costume??  We are NOT looking forward to posing for mama in our costumes...

No Matter HOW Much They Beg!!

You might think that the list I am about to share with you is a little strange...I have fed my own dogs a little piece of apple or cherry...but never the skin or the stems or leaves!  I think the word we must remember is MINIMAL...just a taste!!

Following is a list of 5 foods that you should NOT feed your dog.

1. Alcoholic Beverages. Ethanol is the component in alcoholic beverages that can be toxic when an excessive amount is ingested. Pets are much smaller than us and can be highly affected by small amounts of alcohol. Exercise caution when drinks and pets are together. Toxicity can cause a wide variety of signs and symptoms, and may result in death. Signs may include odor of alcohol on the animal's breath, staggering, behavioral changes, excitement, depression, increased urination, slowed respiratory rate or cardiac arrest and death.
2. Apples, Apricots, Cherries, Peaches and Plums. Ingestion of large amounts of stems, seeds and leaves of these fruits can be toxic. They contain a cyanide type compound and signs of toxicity include apprehension, dilated pupils, difficulty breathing, hyperventilation and shock.

3. Avocados . The leaves, fruit, bark and seeds of avocados have all been reported to be toxic. The toxic component in the avocado is "persin," which is a fatty acid derivative. Symptoms of toxicity include difficulty breathing, abdominal enlargement and abnormal fluid accumulations in the chest, abdomen and sac around the heart. The amount that needs to be ingested to cause symptoms is unknown. Do not feed your pet any component of the avocado.

4. Baking Powder and Baking Soda . Baking soda and baking powder are both leavening agents. A leavening agent is a common ingredient in baked goods that produces a gas causing batter and dough to rise. Baking soda is simply sodium bicarbonate. Baking powder consists of baking soda and an acid, usually cream of tartar, calcium acid phosphate, sodium aluminum sulfate or a mixture of the three. Ingestion of large amounts of baking soda or baking powder can lead to electrolyte abnormalities (low potassium, low calcium and/or high sodium), congestive heart failure or muscle spasms.

5. Chocolate . Chocolate, in addition to having a high fat content, contains caffeine and theobromine. These two compounds are nervous system stimulants and can be toxic to your dog in high amounts. The levels of caffeine and theobromine vary between different types of chocolate. For example, white chocolate has the lowest concentration of stimulants and baking chocolate or cacao beans have the highest concentration. Depending on the type of chocolate ingested and the amount eaten, various problems can occur.
If your dog should happen to eat any of these foods and show symptoms of a problem, seek treatment immediately. You never know when an emergency situation will arise, so it's best to be prepared.

Inspiration for the Day

You were born with potential.
You were born with goodness and trust.
You were born with ideals and dreams.
You were born with greatness.
You were born with wings.
You are not meant for crawling, so don't.
You have wings.
Learn to use them and fly!

Chloe and Beemer Enjoying Fall!

We are still trying to enjoy what little Fall we have left...

It has been a bit on the chilly side...

Only 33 degrees outside tonight!!

I am still NOT ready for snow... or winter!

Guess I really don't have a choice though!
